| Hope SpringsWell, when I thought there wasn't a church in Marshall that Kristen and I BOTH would feel comfortable at, then we found Immanuel Baptist Church! We went there on Sunday and loved it! Yaaay! I'm known as the Best Buy Guy by at least 3 people, rofl...*/facepalm* Oh well. So that's exciting, look forward to seeing how God works this into our lives, I wana plug in somewhere with Kristen more than anything. In other news, there's other changes on the horizon. I'm quitting Best Buy! Yep, I put in my 2-week notice yesterday, I got a nice little job at RadioShack in Marshall. Main reason was the 1.5 hour round trip from my house to L'view. With gas prices it was insanity having to drive that every day...especially since I worked 4-5 hour shifts. So it was "drive 45 mins, work 4 hrs, drive 45 mins." I can't think of anything else. Later! | | |
| Steven Colbert just taught me that "Barack Obama is a secret time-traveling Nazi-Muslim." Completely Completely Out of context. But fun. | | |
| So I'm married!Yep, the time has finally come. I couldn't be happier with Kristen...she's such a good wife. I'm chillin here at the house right now, avoiding things I need to do for class (even though I did finish the presentations I needed to do, the tedious homework is what I hate). I need to go make up the bed, and do some dishes. One of the things I love about being married the most (besides you-know-what ; D) is that I can organize my house and keep it clean and stuff, and I know noone will mess it up or change it. At least, not yet. =D Kristen and I don't get to see each other very much just yet because I work nights and she works during the day. She's only working till early June, though, as a sub, and then she'll just be here, until she finds another job for the summer. I want to work mornings/days after school is out. I'd like that. Anyway, I'm gonna go, lol since noone really reads this anyway, I'm basically writing for my benefit. If you do read it, comment. You can make the difference between whether I get a comment on my post or not. | | |
| Emergency Room #2 for 2008Today was the scariest day I've seen in a long time. I had a panic attack of sorts at work. Couldn't breathe (hyperventilating), muscles in my face and hands contracted and convulsed, I collapsed. Called dad and we went to the ER, were met by Kris and her mom. Did a chest X-Ray and blood test, turns out my blood had a huge potassium deficiency (Hypokalemia) which was the cause of most of it...also it was a "classic" panic attack and a bit of my athsma coming back. So.... From about 12:15am till 4am they had me on a Potassium infusion of 1,455 ml (equivalent to what the doctor said was about a truckload of bananas). I cried, I screamed, I collapsed, I bled profusely at one point, and then was pumped full of K (potassium). I'm on a K supplement, Xanax temporarily, and also have an inhaler. I'm done for the next few days. Kristen, Dad, Mom(Lisa), and my heavenly father, you're my heroes. They were there for me the whole time and were there with me every second. I couldn't have made it without you guys. I love you. | | |
| Inadvertant StardomSo I was working yesterday and JD came up and saw me. After typical pleasantries he asked me, "I don't suppose you were approached by two guys...say...Thursday...that were looking to buy a Flip digital camcorder...one had a fauxhawk and was kinda punky lookin, and the other guy with longer hair?" I did remember them, and said, "Actually, I do. Nice enough guys, pretty much needed what they needed and seemed to wanna just kinda get out of there. Why?" JD says, "Do you know who they were?" I didn't, so I asked. Apparently the lead singer of Decypher Down and lead guitarist for Skillet had a use for a Flip. In hindsight I'm glad I didn't know, mainly cause I'm sure people of their status probably get sick of getting run over by fans, it was still really cool.
These are for Kyle, because noone else will get them. And it's better that way.
