losing touch

It appears that I have completely lost touch with xanga... as a quick update, Sean is now 1.5 years old.  He's beginning to say a few words and a bunch of baby talk. I'm still a stay-at-home mom (and tragically I'm not very good at it).  Michael's working as usual (but he's been working far more diligently on his starcraft skills). I've uploaded a few pictures from Thanksgiving for those who prefer visuals. Hope all is well!

Happy Holidays!!!

We Need Music!

Well, Michael and I are happy as can be    Married life is great!  I'm 7 months into the pregnancy... still no name... hmm...

Tina, thank you for wishing us a happy 1st anniversary.  I can't believe one whole year has passed since that eventful day.  What's more unbelievable is that Michael and I both forgot and missed our anniversary date  because we've been sooooo busy with remodeling our restaurant.  So Tina, thank you for the anniversary reminder   How did we celebrate?  After work, we went out for dessert at a local bar/cafe.

-As for the music we need, please help us!  Our restaurant has a 300 CD player and is in need of good background music - daytime tempo and night time melodies- nothing extreme/hardcore and certainly nothing too emotional that our customers will want to slit their wrists to.  Diversity is cool so English, Chinese, Latin, Korean, Japanese, etc... bring it on!  If you have CD's you can send us, that would be way generous. If not your suggestion will be more then helpful!  Thank You

Michael and I are in the process of buying a house!  We're very excited but i think i'm more freaked out than excited... maybe cuz of the reality of the complete responsibility of a home... i'm usually good about things but this reaction has caught me off guard.  i am actually losing sleep over it.  craziness huh.

Also, I'm 6 months pregnant!!!!  It's a boy!  May 10th is the due date... that's part of the reason why we're buying a house.  we didn't plan to have one for another year but i guess we weren't very careful with planning... but it was a pleasant surprise.  the beginning of the pregnancy was not fun but now i'm pretty much normal again except for my bulging belly... well, realistically speaking, i'm beginning to bulge everywhere i suppose.  all part of the fun!!  we don't have a name picked out yet but we're still brainstorming.  any ideas?  sleeping is difficult but i'm getting used to staying on my left side (recommended by the experts).  i can't sleep on my back anymore.  if i do, it won' t take long til i wake up from back pain and turn to my side.  i'm beginning to think he doesn't like that position.  soemtimes he's so active it wakes me up too.  i dunno, maybe he's practicing his kung-fu.  it's not all so unpleasant tho... i never actually talk to myself anymore cuz there really is someone else there listening to me (hahhaha!  j/k)

okie dokie, time for me to get back to my wifely duties and iron michael's shirts.

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving Day.  Michael and I spent the whole day wth his family.  That was the first day I discovered what the fuss was about with The Apprentice.  WOW!!! I could not believe how exciting it is!!!  Michael and I don't have cable tv but that is definitely changing (hehehe).  I wonder how I would do on the show... I wonder if i even qualify... hmmm....  anyone else into the show?

This is a forward that caught my attention titled:

"Two difficult questions?..."

Question 1: If you knew a woman who is pregnant, with 8 kids already, three of them deaf, two blind, one mentally retarded, and she has syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Question 2: It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:

Candidate A - Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists.
He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B - He sleeps until noon, drinks a quart of whiskey every evening,
was kicked out of office twice and used opium in college .

      Candidate C - He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke,
drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Candidate B is Winston Churchill.

Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, the answer to the abortion question: If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember: Amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

 * 29 have been accused of spousal abuse

 * 7 have been arrested for fraud

 * 19 have been accused of writing bad checks

 * 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

 * 3 have done time for assault

 * 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

 * 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

 * 8 have been arrested for shoplifting

 * 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits

 * 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet? It's the 535 members of the United States Congress.

The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.
