Wow, it has been awhile since I posted..... Life is good, academics busy, and upperclassmen just as fun as a tooth ache. They actually leave me alone since I don't really get into trouble, but they can be a pain sometimes. I'm sitting at my Company Commander's table for meals so I guess I have earned some respect in the company. But anyway... Army got crushed by Air Force, I think every cadet here is ready to kick Bobby Ross out, because he hasn't given us the wins we want, even though he is being payed more then all the four stars put together. No team except Army can get to the one yard line then fumble for an Air Force touchdown in the first drive of the game, nobody....

Last night I went with BSU (Baptist Student Union) to go see Casting Crowns, Toby Mac and a bunch of other in concert. It was my first concert and I was unprepared, I wasn't going to go at first because I didn't want to pay the money, and it isn't my type of music, but a friend of mine offered me a free ticket so I took it. And I still can't hear very well, we had "excellent" seats, I put that in "" because to some they were excellent, to me it was way to close to the speakers. But it was funny watching some of the officers who came along to "watch" us jumping up and down with the music and just going crazy. Casting Crowns was by far the best ones there, and I would say that I actually enjoyed them, everybody else was just loud.

Only about three more weeks until I come home! I can't wait to get back and act like a civilian for a couple of days.

Keep it real people

I'm still alive guys! School is great, I'm enjoying a nice 2.0 average which is good enough to keep the upperclassmen off my back. But so far life has been good, I thought it would be alot harder then it has been, the first few weeks were kind of rough but I have gotten into a pretty good rut and life is actually enjoyable. I got a great roommate who has the same world view as me, so thanks to all of you who prayed for my future roommate.

I thought I would include a picture of some of the mascots which are seen at our football games. But I really feel this is where God wants me right now, I don't really miss home that much (which might be a bad thing).  Plebe parent weekend is in two weeks so it will be a nice break from everything.

I'm going to put my phone number down so those who want to call can, but I'm really only in my room for sure from about 8 P.M to 12 P.M. at night, and that is Eastern time. We are suppose to be studying but if you are lazy like me you can do the minimal amount of work and still pull solid C's....

Sorry for the disjointed post, but a little bit of a post is better then none.....

Okay guys, long time since I typed on here but life is crazy. Finished with my second week of school and I have lots of homework to do. But I'm envoking the No-Homework Friday rule and probably won't get much done tonight, instead, I plan on going to watch Superman Returns and grabbing take out food with my roommate. Tonight is Ring Weekend, basically our one chance to annoy the firsties, what we do is they get their class rings tonight and when they come back (hoping to quickly change and leave with their date, family, friends ect...) we stop them and recite this little bit of knowledge which they have to stay and listen to...

Oh my God Sir/Ma'am, what a beautiful ring. What a crass mass of brass and glass. What a bold mold of rolled gold. What a cool jewel you got from your school, see how it sparkles and shines? It must have cost you a fortune, may I touch it? May I touch it, please, sir, please? \

You get 10 plebes surrounding one upperclassmen saying this we can detain them for a very long time... So it will be tons of fun. School is pretty fun, I really enjoy my chemistry, english, and history.... Boxing and Math are not my favorites but I have to do them. I have to do a briefing next week so that will be fun, it is on the Roman Empire so I can't wait for that, since I am a Roman fanatic. My company is really cool and I get along with most of the people, a couple of the sergeants are hazes but that isn't the rule. I only have one more week until I get to come home so I'm happy!!! And if you were just wondering their are 146 and a butt days until Army beats Navy!!!

Take care

~A Plebe~

WOW! Past couple of days have just been a blur, I can't believe I will become a cadet in just two short days! Had drill and ceremony today, it was really boring and really tiring, you try holding and M-14 for half and hour and tell me your arm doesn't feel like it is going to fall off. (Clarification, Salute with the M-14 for half and hour). Dinner tonight was a spiriti dinner and we had a good time, we had a plebe rally so all the plebes errrr new cadets, rushed the mess hall ahead of the upperclassmen, good times. I have a big inspection on Saturday morning so please pray that we pass that, we also have a brigade run tomorrow which is really going to try my patience, I hate those huge long runs, they always are really slow and I always lose my voice because we are screaming cadences all the time. My chain of command are really couple except for a couple of bad apples, but I think I'm going to have fun here. Your prayers are coveted as I begin the school year, I miss seeing you guys and just being a civilian, but I guess everybody here feels that way at some point or another.

Thats it for now,

Zach
