As I was getting ready to drive out to the burbs for work to go to a store, I happened to be watching Tim Gunn's Guide to Style on Bravo. And I love him so much I decided to stop and write about it :)

I first met and fell in love with Tim on Project Runway. He is HYSTERICAL (and he doesn't mean to be, he just is). He also is almost always in a 3 piece suit and looks impeccable. He uses words that I have not one clue what they mean, and he uses them all the time.... to fashion designers... who all look equally confused (he would say I'm completely baffled). And when he gives a compliment, he can't just say.... "wow that's awesome". He says, "I have to assert that this is fabulous." haha, what an AWESOME way to compliment someone!! I have to assert that I ADORE TIM GUNN! He's more well known for saying "Make it Work!"... but he says SO much more than that people. He almost every episode also says.... "This worries me."

Now what inspired me to take time from getting ready to write this?? Well, he's once again in a 3 piece suit looking totally fab.... and he's helping a girl get a new look. So he brings her to Bill Blass (SOOOOOO jealous) and she tries on a BEAUTIFUL tan trench coat and when she comes out he says..... "I have one word..... SUBLIME." hahahahhaa, I literally lost it. Ahhhh how I love him. I am now going to start using the word sublime at least 4 times a week. And you should too. Also try complimenting people by starting with... "I have to assert". It's fun :)

And remember to steer clear of the leggings and hoodies to make Tim Gunn happy!

Hey guys... I really haven't written in here in awhile. I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore... probably not, but I'll write anyway :)

So I got a job shortly after I wrote the last blog. I'm a marketing specialist for Randa Accessories... a men's accessories company. It's pretty cool, I've been doing it for almost 7 months now. I go around to a bunch of different stores and do the visual displays, merchandising, and stock reports, etc. I like it for now :)

I also just started teaching 2 classes at my old school. I'm teaching Introduction to fashion merchandising and Business Communications. It's only 2 nights a week, but I like it so far (I should insert here thatI've only been teaching a week so far :) ).

I got to go to my Florida home for Christmas break, which was so nice since I hadn't been there since LAST Christmas! Dane baby came in the day after Christmas and stayed for about a week. Jenny's boy toy came in too, it was a lot of fun. UNTIL December 29th when I sprained my ankle :( I was playing basketball (knock out) and I tried to jump stop and shoot... and well I did jump stop... sideways on my ankle... which is not a cankle. And what did I cry about? A. Having a cankle. B. Not being able to wear heels. C. Not being able to move. NOW I can't work at my normal job until I get a doctor's note saying I can work again because they don't want me working and getting worse so they're held liable. SO I am Boooooorrrrreeeeddddd out of my mind!!!

I thought when I started working that I'd be fine with staying home... cause I didnt wanna work. haha NOW... I think I'll keep working. It might be different if could walk and do stuff!! Cause now I have to sit at home at keep my ankle iced and up!!

Nothing else new is really going on now. I'm going to try to go bore myself to sleep. I've already read one book today, cleaned my apartment, dyed my hair, and cooked dinner. Thats like 3 days worth of stuff! But tomorrow I am going to visit my lovely and gorgeous friend Katie Nester and her absolutely beautiful and ADORABLE child, Cale. Seriously, one of the cutest kids Ive ever seen. Plus he's soooo sweet. He's always laughing and smiling and he HUGS you!!! awwwww, it's so cute. He leans in and puts his little chubby arms around you and you want to die! He's a doll. I can only hope my kid is as good a baby.... I'm not pregnant. That sounded like I was. NO BABIES HERE kids. When I'm 30, we'll discuss it. For now, I'll just gloat over my friends kids :)

Oopsie. I haven't written in here for a while :) hehe, welp here's whats been going on:

A. I'm finishing school in June... weeeeee (ner).
B. I'm looking for a job, if you know of one, give it to me (thats what she said)
C. I'm doing my internship at Bloomingdale's
D. I don't have time to breathe cause I am busy ALL day EVERYDAY :(

It's true. I am up at about 8 everyday, which isn't too early, but I don't get home til the earliest maybe 6:45 or so usually. And I don't have ONE day off. I have Bloomingdale's Monday and wednesday and sometimes Fridays from 10-5 (it takes me an hour or so to get both ways). Then school from 10-5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Then I work friday-Sunday to make money so I can live.

This Thursday I helped out at our school's fashion show, Imagine. It was a lot of fun. It was a LONG day. We got there at 9 am then didn't leave til about 9:30. I was a dresser in the back. It is SOOOO hectic back stage for fashion shows. Just lots of really pretty, tall, mostly naked models running around. A straight man's dream, right? AND I got to walk on the runway!!!!! It was a HUGE show too :) It was in Union Station... which is the largest train station in Chicago. In the grand hall, which is gorgeous. It was pretty cool, we all got to walk out at the end. I felt like a supermodel... even though I shared the stage with like 20 other people and it was quick and I couldn't see anything and I am 5'2. But besides that, it was real glamorous :)

ANYWAY it fun news... during down time at Bloomingdale's today I played MASH BY MYSELF (what, I'm cool!). I'd like to share my choices. Oh and I changed it to MCSH... cause everyone has condos now, not apartments.

SO for the hubby I chose (in this order) 1. Jim Halpert 2. Dane baby 3. Jack Bauer 4. John Locke (I do realize 3 out of 4 are fictional).
Then for their jobs I chose 1. doctor 2. CTU agent 3. Second in command and a small paper company 4. kicking ass.
Other categories are boring. I mean kids... 1234, honeymoon? Mexico, Jamaica, Greece, Italy. cars, blah blah blah. HOWEVER when I was choosing places to live I HONESTLY didn't want to choose anywhere else but Chicago. I love it here. However, I did choose LONDON BABY, NYC, and Boston (only cause I want to go to Fenway SOOO much... it's expensive there).
So this is how my life ends up... I marry Dane baby (what are the chances, it was between him and Jim... I was torn :) ). We live in a condo. He's a CTU agent, I'm a fashion show director, we have 2 kids we honeymoon in Greece, I drive a mini-cooper, and we have a kitten (something Dane would actually NEVER allow) and we live in CHICAGO :) :) :)

I do love this city, everyone should come visit. It is AWESOME. Like right now, my internet and cable are temporarily out of service and I'm at a cute wireless cafe hookah bar around the corner eating hummus. Life is good. I like that I don't NEED to go out on a Friday... actually I hate it haha. I like to stay home and watch my tivo, clean, and go to bed early. SO SUE ME :)

OK that's all, I've turned into such a dweeb, but whatever, it's fine. THATS LIFE :) Love ya kids

I'm still going to write about 24. And I'll tell you why: its awesome. I'll tell you another reason why: JACK BAUER. ANYWAY this week rules. if you don't want to know... don't read this. Anyway, AUDREY IS DEAD!!! Why?!?!?!?!? I'm SOOOO sad :( Jack is so sad, if only he knew I'm sitting here waiting for him to find me. I wish Buchanan or Chloe would let him know. I guess they're busy with the bombs... lame excuse.

In other TV news, Lost is finally getting good again. it's about time. My second love, Locke, is back and it's all about him this week. Watch and love. We FINALLY learn about the wheelchair!! I'm so excited I can hardly breathe :)

NEXT I wish The Office would be new again, I hope Roy doesn't kill Jim. And i hope Jim finally dumps Karen, she annoys me. PAM AND JIM FOREVER!!

NOW your probably wondering... does Jessica's life consist of anything other than tv? And the answer is... NO. I love it, I love tivo, and Im ok with that.

I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT MARCH MADNESS :) In which I am doing AWESOME. I've only lost 5 games, and come on, everyone lost Wisconsin. And who even picked Vanderbilt? Unless you went there I mean. But I'm totally whooping up on everyone cause I'm awesome :)

Ok Jack Bauer doesn't have a shirt on= best day of my life. Gotta go.

I love Jack Bauer. 24 is awesome. Why I watched Smallville instead, I'll never know. I mean, so the guy is cute on the outside, he's not sexy and a badass like Jack Bauer. If Jack asked me to marry him I'd say no until he tortured me into saying yes. Is that weird? Perhaps. But I love him all the same.

This season of 24 totaly rules. I won't say what happens so I don't ruin it for anyone. BUT I WILL say THIS: Jack Bauer kicks some totally booty. Well DUH. And even though Chloe is annoying I love her. I miss Kim Bauer, she ruled. And Audrey. I can only hope they will be back. I miss the old president too. Not the creeps one from last season, David Palmer. BUt I actually do miss the old one and his crazy wife. I most of all miss Aaron... awww Aaron. JACK RULES, Im watching it now and he's being awesome. Duh. As usual. OK well enough about Jack. Well I'll never be able to say enough about him.... OH MY GOSH he's near a bomb... if it kills him I will kill myself!!! OK... gotta go. Love ya.

Hey guys! It's been a while. I know how much everyone missed reading my MIND BLOWING blogs :) So I am back, don't fear!

So the Superbowl, huh?? Rex Grossman should have been named MVP for the Colts, not Peyton Manning. I mean. who can't even catch a football that is snapped to you?? EVEN I can do that. Come on Rex, what an idiot!! Even though I really don't like the Colts at all, you gotta love Tony Dungey. He rules. I mean not as much as Lovie Smith cause he's adorable :) But you have to love that not only is it the first two African American coaches, it's the first time two Christian, God loving men have been coaches, which is totally awesome.

Anyway, we all know I hate Rex.. well strongly dislike. And even though I don't like Manning at all either, it was almost comical watching Rex trying to compare to him cause Manning is a great quarterback. I was in Detroit so I didn't have to be here during the heartbreak. I can safely say (according to every chicago newspaper) that the whole city pretty much despises Grossman and we all hope he will be OUT OF HERE next year. And to Manning.... Brady has TWO cars baby, he's the BEST... and the hottest :)

And I am watching Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and it's the end and I am obviously crying.

IN other news I am back with Dane baby and things are going well (I mean why else would I be in Detroit?). And that's all I really have to say about that :)

Katie and Timmy are having a baby and I am SO excited. I'm SO glad they live close. Katie cut my hair last week and it looks adorable and I love it. I can't wait to see little Cale!! And Katie let me feel the baby kick and it was the FIRST time Ive EVER felt it, it's so cool!! I can't believe there's a baby inside of her, it's so crazy!! Anyway, nothing else going on besides being FREEZING cause my heat broke. It was 42 degrees in my apartment this morning NOT OK!!

Oh and one of my good friends from PA is in town. I haven't seen her in years so it will be so good to hang out with her again! She's awesome! Jamie Marie Halpin, haha she was my BFF and one of the only people I've hung out with regularly when I go to PA. She's awesome and I'm excited to see her :)x

A few things I've been thinking about.

ONE: I purchased an US weekly magazine even though they annoy me these days. I mean they just make things up. But my poor girl Brit was on it. Oh Britney Spears you make it so hard to be your faithful fan. But I am. I mean, didn't we all think once Kevin was out of the picture she'd straighten up. We forgot, there's one thing worse than Kevin Federline. And it's name is Paris Hilton.

TWO: A quote from US weekly that Fergie (UGH... I feel the need to dry heave when I say her name... I think it's just natural). BE PREPARED: This is the dumbest argument any human being has ever made. Besides some kids at Cedarville who made another poor argument that shall not be discussed. That one was dumber. But this is the SECOND dumbest:
"I may not have the type of voice you like, but I can sing. You can't take that away from me, cause singing is a gift from God, and when people say I can't sing, it's kind of like insulting God."
You make now take a moment to die in laughter at the hideousness that is this statement. NOTE TO FERGIE: You're singing, videos, style, and performances are an insult to God. When God gives you a gift you don't sing about your "London Bridge" and wear nothing and gyrate on guys. Does that glorify God Fergie? NO! Then you're not using your gift correctly. PLUS saying Fergie can't sing (which she technically CAN sing... it doesn't mean she SHOULD sing) does not in any way, shape, or form insult God.

THREE: I went and saw this amazing independent film called Flannel Pajamas. My roomate and I had met the director the night before at the Music Box (which is the coolest theatre in Chicago by far) and he told us to come see it the next night cause he was doing a Q&A after every showing. So we went, along with cutie pie Chuckles, and I LOVE LOVE LOVED it. Now it's an independent film, so it's more raw than normal movies. BEFORE seeing it, I must warn you there is some nudity in the beginning, and by some, I mean a few scenes and full frontal. I did not particularly enjoy that part. However after those parts, the movie encaptured me. I have never watched a movie and thought, "this could have been my life (minus the nakedness)." It is a love story, but just such a REAL love story. The director afterwards was talking about how it was based on his one short-lived marriage.

SPOILER ALERT: The couple gets married then after a few years they get divorced. Nothing happens huge that leads to their divorce. No one cheats, lies, has any addictions. It's just about two imperfect people in love and it not working out. If you've ever been in a relationship, any relationship, that hasn't worked out, you will be able to identify with this movie. It is beautifully directed and written. Jeff Lipsky is the director's name, he is a doll and brilliant. I HIGHLY reccomend this movie. Even with the too much nudity, it is a winner. I cried during it and wanted to cry after for a while just thinking about it. He captures the essence of how men and women communicate imperfectly. Another thing I was thinking, is yes people are imperfect and love is imperfect, BUT our love THROUGH Christ can be perfect. His love is the only perfect love created. Relationships don't work out for many reasons. It isn't always something big, it may be a lot of small things, it commonly is. It's comforting to me no matter how many "small things" happen between me and my relationship with Christ, he will NEVER leave me. You can't possibly say the same about any man or woman. Flannel Pajamas. Go see it if there's an awesome theatre near you. If not rent it. If you don;t like it... well I don't really care I still did.

OH and the Music Box (best theatre in Chicago again) has these "sing-a-long" things. They're showing It's a wonderful life and White Christmas and play Christmas carols in between the everyone sings along to White Christmas. Needless to say, I will be there. It's right across from where I work and it's awesome. My new favorite place to go... even though I've pretty much only been twice :) OK kids that's all for now. Have a good one!

Happy thanksgiving kids! I hope your holiday is filled with joy, laughter, lots of food, and saying what you're thankful for around the dinner table... that's my favorite part :)

Here are some things I've learned about men while living in Chicago. One second, I take back that I called them men, cause most of them aren't. So I'll tell you what I've learned about BOYS while living here.

1. Chivalry is dead. I mean you're on the el with your heels and big bag and men will literally SHOVE you out of the way to get to the one empty seat. OLD WOMEN they will shove, then they'll just sit there in their nice suits and listen to their ipod and read their paper. Of course they are exceptions: the gay man. Who are MUCH MUCH MUCH more chivalrous and would give up their seat or stand the whole time. Which says something about the straight men. Gay men are nicer in Chicago and that's all there is to it.

2. They don't know how to pick up women. I am not a pie guys, I am a person. When I walk by and you stop, look blatantly at my butt and go "HMMMM-HMMMM." I am NOT flattered. And also, saying hello and asking someone's name in no way merits getting you a phone number.

3. They will hit on anything that walks. Literally anything, so it's not even flattering. It's actually a little insulting

4. They want one thing, and it's not a hug or a fun conversation. I guess most guys are like this, but living in little Cedarville and dating a sweet guy I do not expect this. I haven't been out with anyone, but it's crazy how some guys are. You think they're just being nice and want to be your friend then BAM sexual comment that throws you off guard. I'm innocent and nice, I'll talk to a wall for an hour. Living here has made me a lot meaner.

5. Saying the F word makes them super sweet. Anytime a guy uses it in a conversation it startles me a bit and I get nervous. But they throw it around and you can tell you think they're cool because of it. Silly, silly boys.

I also just want to say that this isn't ALL guys of course. There are a few I know and have met who are sweet angels and treat me with NOTHING but respect, always open the doors, and are so sweet to never even make me pay cause "I'm a girl." They're just few and far between. I'm all for women's rights, believe me. I also am all for being treated like a lady. Don't swear around me, open my door and let me have the last seat. Come on, you don't know how painful heels can be when you've been walking around the city all day boys!!

Also, I still do LOVE Chicago, the city rules and it is not it's fault it has stupid guys here. I'm sure every city has it's share. Also remember when Brad Pitt posed in his boxers and when they put it on the cover of Vanity fair he got mad? haha then don't pose in your boxers, idiot. Famous people are funny.

Oh and go read Coversations with the Fat Girl, it is hysterical and i read it in one day, loved it, loved it, loved it.

Remember when I said how I hated Rex Grossman cause he's awful and I have not one clue why they don't take him out of the game? Well yeah, I think ALL of Chicago agrees after Sunday. Come on dude, you can't count SOLELY on defense (which by the way, wasn't too great Urlacher, thanks). 31-13, haha. I laughed. The rest of Chicago did NOT laugh however. A lot of drunk angry people were in the streets and bars, it was NOT a joyous day in the Chi-town. THEN the Patriots lose too :( BUT at least there's was a good game, I thought they might take it at the end. And I love Brady, but 3 interceptions... not so hot cutie. (well, he's still real hot, just not his quarterback skills that night). Well, 2 of them were the recievers fault, so I guess just one. But Peyton Manning, as annoying as he is, is excellent. He really is, and I hate to say it cause I can't stand him one bit. But he's a good player. Anyway, enough about football. OH one more thing... November 18th... UM vs. OSU. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE Ohio state. I mean HATE them. No doubt they're a great team, but I just HATE them. And they're stupid fans are EVERYWHERE! I thought, sweet I left Ohio now I don't have to see these stupid fans everywhere... WRONG. I mean, granted, they're not as annoying as they were in Ohio, but theyre still around. I want to rip the stupid red hats off their heads and spit on them. But I don't, I just look at thei hat in discust to get my point across (which obviously means I smile and say hello but think that in my head). needless to say, I'd like Michigan to win. I like Michigan though, they're silly. Plus every guy I've had a big crush on or dated (well I guess just dane I dated) has LOVED Michigan, so I think it rubbed off.

ANYWAY, theres a pain in my side and it is killing me. awesome. I have 2 more mid-terms today. I already had one this morning, awesome. You know I rocked that out, as I will the next 2 that i am not at all worried about. As for now Im going to Borders to get my daily blueberry muffin and coffee while I read and study.
