The Early Years

Well, as you see, I now have a xanga. 'Tis mainly for the purpose of commenting on my friends insightful blog entries, rather than writing my own, but perhaps I shall attempt to update occasionally.

The next few weeks will be rather busy for us as we are moving out of our house at the end of April, but we won't have a house to move into 'til the middle of May. For those who don't know ~ we were planning to move to Florida this year to take care of my grandmother; I can't say that any of us we're looking forward to it (except as an opportunity to serve her, and have some great character development...), it would have been extremely hard to leave our church family and friends here etc. I selfishly prayed that we would be able to stay here, but didn't think it at all likely to happen.... but that's exactly what happened! Oh me of little faith. Our grandmother is willingly and gladly moving up here instead, and I'm so very grateful. God has answered our prayers so wonderfully in providing a job for dad, a new home for us and making it possible for us to remain here.

This weekend is the Radix tournament debate/ie tournament; I'm supposed to be going as David's judge, if I'm well that is. Currently I would make a very lousy judge as I'm rather fuzzy headed, but hopefully by Thursday or Friday I'll be capable of of competent decision-making and no longer dangerously contagious with whatever is plaguing me.

Well, I'm off to read a good book & drink some tea (being sick does have a few perks :)
