In This Last Hour(1 John 2:18) Bloom and bring forth fruit for Jesus Christ, the only God and Savior--for though the flower fades, His Word stands forever! This world and its pleasures are passing away, but the born-again child of God will abide in His presence eternally.

A thought that came to me last night while petting the cat (I was in a reflective mood):

Blessings are always larger in mass, deeper in value, surpassing in abundance, than trials. . .but trials always seem to feel heavier, seem larger and more pressing, and oh so very numerous.

I complain about life being hard. . .it is. . .but I wouldn't have life at all, no one would, except by the grace of God.  He has given me life for a purpose. . .a holy and loving purpose. . .and I must trust Him to show me that purpose, bit by bit, in His time.  When I feel purposeless, I must remember to have faith. . . .

------------------------------------------------
This can be done & is done today physically in the making of zircon stones (man-made diamonds)

The substance of your joys and dreams is burned in the fire.
The joys and dreams of your heart are left in ashes.
The ashes are gathered in His loving hand.
The trials continue, pressing in hard upon all you have left, the ashes of your heart's dearest.
The intense pressure bonds the carbon atoms together, and tempered by time, produces a diamond of fine quality, exceptional beauty, supreme strength, and superior usefulness.
----------------

Take of this, my heart's dearest

Burn, burn, as Thou dost know
Will best Thy glory show.

Let even the brightness of the flame arrest
Watching eyes, that through my pain
Others may find healing, restful balm--
And from my barren songlessness, a divine psalm--
So all may see that, supreme in love, Thou dost reign.

Take of this, the ashes of my heart's dearest
Use, use, as Thou dost know
Will best fulfill Thy purpose fo
r me here below.

Teach me again that Thy golde
n best
Is better than my highest tinsel dreams.
Thy heart is tender, Thy love wise;
Thou dost not waste pain, or brokenness despise.
Of my ashes Thou takest, & in grace, from them a diamond redeems.
