9:30am--iced coffee and donut from Dunkin' Donuts

    9:45am--Morning at the Met

1:00pm--lunch at Hale and Hearty Soups and Salads

2:00pm--snack of egg waffle thing from Chinatown street cart

2:15pm--red bean and green tea ice cream from Chinatown Ice Cream Factory

2:45pm--almond egg tart and peanut mochi from little shop across from ice cream

3:00pm-6:30pm--break from eating to explore Chinatown and Noho

    6:45pm--chicken gyro from street vendor

7:15pm--pastries from Jewish bakery (including my favorite--chocolate cigar!)

  • Flour Bakery!!!

    before:

fruit scone, almond brioche, and pecan sticky bun

    after:

    mmm... that was good!

my new favorite food is brioche!  it's a buttery, eggy bread with a rich, tender crumb!  the sticky bun was also made with a brioche dough, which made it not only ooey and gooey, but chewy too!  i found out later after looking at the to-go menu i took that they have a chocolate filled brioche!!!  i want that!

  • sticky buns!

It's 2:21am in Boston right now, where I am visiting Angela!  I should be going to bed, but I am looking up the menu at Flour Bakery!  Angela and I are going to go there tomorrow, and I can't wait!!!  Flour Bakery was featured on the Food Network just the other day!  Bobby Flay from the Food Network challenged Flour Bakery owner, Joanne Chang, to a sticky buns throwdown, and she won!

Joanne Chang graduated from Harvard with a degree in Applied Mathematics!  And after working in that field for a little bit, decided to pursue a career in pastry!!!

Supposedly, their sticky buns sell out really early, so I WANT to go at 7am when they open, but I will not make Angela go that early.  :)

Can't wait!!!!!  ... but first, I must sleep.
