  • Man, this has been a rough week.  Roman was very sick, throwing up, for 24 hours and he started to get really dehydrated.  We ended up having to spend the night in the hospital with him on Wed. night.  He had to get IV fluids.  On Wednesday, he was so dehydrated all he would do is just lay in our arms in sleep or stare off into space.  Right before we had to take him into the hospital he stopped reacting to us.  It was so scary.  They pumped him full of so much fluid.  He gained 2 pounds over night!  By the next morning at 5 am he was awake and ready to play though.  You should have seen me chasing him around the hospital's playroom with an IV stand/cart thingy so he did not yan k it out of his arm while playing.  It was so hard when they put the IV in his arm though.  They would only let one of us in the room when they did it and we decided Tim would handle that better.  I stood outside the room pacing and crying.  they had to tape a small board to his arm to keep him from bending it.  He was such a little trouper though.  Even after he perked up he did not try to mess with it too much.  He adapted so quickly with playing only with one hand.  He was even figuring out ways to sign with one hand.  He is amazing.  He is still having some residual affects and of course Tim and I ended up getting boughts of it too but we have all pretty much recovered.  We will still keep our distance and take percautions thought.

    Hope all are doing well.
