| What does a redneck do if he needs a high speed internet connection?
The other day I was driving past a friend's place. Now this friend does not have internet at their house. But one of their neighbors does have a high speed internet connection, along with a wireless router. Unfortunately, you can't get a good signal off the wireless router from inside my friend's house.
So anyways, as I am driving past this friend's place I saw his 14 year old son out in the middle of their hayfield. Beside him, sitting on a lawn chair, was his best friend. "What on earth are Samuel and Duane (aka Cheerwine) doing out in the middle of the hayfield?"
Then I saw it. A laptop.
Yep, that's what rednecks do when they need a high speed internet connection. They go sit in the middle of a hay field and connect to the neighbor's internet connection.
I think that is called Hi-Tech Redneck.
Later y'all...
Richard

Some days are best left buried in the past!
Yesterday was one of those... everything went wrong! Stress was rampant and oozed from everyone. Mr. Richard was in the lowest state of depression that he has been for a long while. They were trying to figure out paperwork and if you all know anything about the Mrs. she does understand Gross income, Overhead, etc. but it is sooo overwhelming! So now she has to go through 6 months of boxes of receipts and somehow enter them into Quicken. Please pray she figures it all out and quickly!
Anyways, poor Mr. Richard was hurting mentally, and physically with pain in his leg and feet, and crashing fast. His wife was trying to stand by and be sweet and helpful and just seemed to mess it all up!

The Son of Richard was busy staying out of his parent's hair by building a fort on his bed and much to his mother's dismay had tacked the cover to the wall and hand sewn the pillowcases to the bottom to make it longer!
Mr. Richard went to put money in the bank in the afternoon, that was not enough to cover it but helped. And then he went to the chiropractor who told him to start his exercising so he can stay flexible and not so stiffened up. Can you all hold him to that?
Mrs. Richard was at home and taking all the daily struggles to God once more, Who has promised that all things work together for good to them that love God -Romans 8:28. She thanks Him daily for that promise! She went then to cut out three dresses because a good sewing session always makes troubles fade away! Or so she thinks!
Well, we were all feeling out of sorts and it felt like the day would end that way... until... the Mrs. asked hubby if he could please make her Facebook page look like his page does (since this is the "in" way of keeping up with friends) . Hers was messed up, and looked very funny and she couldn't figure anything out or connect with any of her friends like she wanted to. He obliged and spent 1 1/2 hours going through the computer fixing this and that (how does he know that changing this will actually do some good and not hurt the computer?) His wife (between dozing off because of the late hour) shakes her head and sits in fascination as he clicks away at it! And it still didn't work after all that time. Finally he discovered our K9 web protection might be blocking it out. It was! So we overrode it for this and it worked! The Mrs. has a Facebook page that is normal looking like everyone else now! The Mr. and Mrs. Richard think that life must be some good after all! Mrs. sits in awe of her dear hubby who has the gift of fixing things computer wise and profusely thanks him for making her world OK after all!
As the saying goes, "All's well that ends well." I am sure God had some doing with the day yesterday, too. He is ever wanting to teach us lessons about leaning on Him because we can't do it in our own strength! Will I ever learn? Looking for better days ahead! The Mrs. Richard

| I have been blessed these past days!
First the cell group came and mowed everything outside and dug the ditches. They left the leftover pizza and melons and some cookies with us. Then yesterday I had not one but three friends come by for a visit! I was blessed and encouraged by each one and each brought some vegetables or fruits from their garden or freezer. I was triple blessed! How did they all know that our food supply was getting low? They didn't... God did! EBay sales are slowly picking up again so I was able to go to Wal-Mart for the important groceries last evening, too! Then tonight another friend gave us some more vegetable/fruit goodies. God is good! Makes for interesting things to add to my Blessing Book. It is called faith building!
Somedays it feels like this! LOL Rich finished getting his internet wire buried today... and in the process we blew up something to the wireless antenna! Which caused a trip to town for a new one.
I have been busy sewing as usual and have a box of sewing ready to go out in the morning!
Prayers go out to our friend,Anna. May God bless you with a quick and total recovery.
God knows our needs before we ask. I thank him for this. Tina

| Our Cup of Blessings Doth Overflow! One of the cell groups called us and asked if they could bless us. They were talking earlier about how they could serve the body of Christ and decided to put it into practice! There were two mowers and several weed eaters going. Mark Schmucker Anna Weaver The Daniel Helmuth family raking up extra thick grass. Joy Weaver, CC Matthews, Sarah Foster, Daniel Helmuth
Rich had all of his parts for a long time to bury the internet cable from the tower to the house. He also wanted to run an electric wire from the house to the shop. The line to the tower has been dug for awhile.
These 4 above had started at opposite ends and their ditch was to meet in the middle. We had to laugh at the curves in it...must have been following a snake! But it was just what we needed.
Rich and Roman Troyer worked at getting wire through conduit and then the guys covered it up with ground again. It wasn't long until Richard had the ends hooked up and he has power in his shop! Yeah! We are so grateful as it came just at the right time to encourage him in his next project that he will be building in the shop! Joy, Sarah, and Rhoda Troyer took a set of shelves apart that we had gotten from Choice Books. We plan to use the boards for building shelving in the shop. I even got John Weaver to tighten up my clothes line for me!
Cute little Micah Matthews! We then all gathered inside and were served homemade pizza (made my Jenna Matthews), salad, chips, watermelon, cantaloupe, and two different kinds of cookies. Delicious!
Thanks so much to all of you! Our hearts and lives are full and overflowing with the love we felt from you all and thanks for blessing us in this way.
To our own cell group, we missed gathering with you all!
Simply Blessed, Tina
PS. Be sure to read Meg's site for updated info on the Troyer family... towards the end of her post. Her mom doesn't have to have a body cast after all! She also has pictures of the car.
