It included gettin ALL dolled up, country club, open bar, Spazmatics (80's cover band), town cars hired in case we were too drunk(which we were), downtown at J Blacks VIP style, Cristal for everyone (I passed, I feel like I shouldn't drink it if I can't afford it - free or not), men in suits, gettin the scoop with top traders, serious ant bites. I managed to get a few pics before my camera decided to stop working.
I LOVE my job. Seriously LOVE IT. When that bell rings on the NYSE, it's a little bit of a rush. It's a weird feeling to be able to make $500 in 30 seconds and lose $500 in another 30 seconds. My decision making is getting slightly better, the naps help ;)
My shoulders have been getting really tense and hurting a little, I need to figure something out for it. Any tips besides a massage?
This had to be shared all you freaks and geeks fans.
Halloween on 6th street = insanity. I've never seen so many people on the street like that save for SXSW. Steph and I were the only girls not skanked out either. I'll put up pics when they're appropriate. Which will be never in this case.
I start work Monday. Wish me luck.
This is pretty much amazing by the way. It's the annual Sculpture by the Sea held in Sydney. Here are some pieces from previous years....
Human beings seem to be motivated by either fear of loss or desire for
gain. Psychologists say that the fear of loss is the greater
motivator, triggering some primeval instinct in our brains that spurs
us into action. I guess you could say my travel motivation has always
stemmed from a fear of not being able to see it all before I die. I’ve
never really had a fear of death, but I have a great fear of not
living, of being ordinary, wearing what everyone else is wearing,
commuting to work, and carrying on with the cell phone. Normal,
Boring, Death.
