| I haven't written here for a while; everyone is using Facebook these days. Since no one I personally know reads this, I feel I can speak much more freely here.
I'm a wreck right now. I have no idea what I'm going to do tomorrow, or a week from now, or a year from now. Everything is up in the air, and it's ultimately my fault.
In the midst of the tumult, I still find inspiration. I'm still drawing, still writing, still dreaming as always. I'm not sure what my incentives and intentions are at this point, but with or without a purpose, I'm a dreamer and always will be.
One of these days, I'm going to make it. Maybe you won't know who I am, but you will know me through my achievements. I am not here to sit idle.

| The HorrorSeriously, why do people keep buying Fords? After the Pinto incident, you think people would be at least a little wary. And then the old Mustang ragtops totaling themselves if you opened the doors with the top down. And then the famous Explorer/Firestone rollover debacle. And then the current Escape rollover issue. And then the sparks plugs shooting through the hoods. And then the tailpipe fires on the heavy-duty trucks. And then the cruise-control fires. Seriously; CRUISE CONTROL setting your damn car on fire. Until I see new management make a serious committment to safety at Ford, I refuse to buy products they engineer (this doesn't include certain Fords like the Fusion, which is actually engineered primarily by Mazda). However, I can't do much about Ducky wanting to buy one. She's into aesthetics, not engineering. She likes what she likes, and she happens to like Ford Escapes (rollover-prone deathtrap) and Ford Mustangs (poorly-manufactured deathtraps). No way in hell I'm letting that happen. Hopefully, I'm going to be landing a very profitable job in a month or so that will afford me the opportunity to start working on my car projects. I'm going straight to the Subaru dealership and grabbing an Impreza/Legacy (damn finest cars in terms of both reliability and safety), stripping the panels/interior, and converting it into whatever she decides on. That'll be the easy part...the hard part will be convincing her parents to pay quite a bit more for that than for a Ford. Wish me luck. | | |
| Things I learned from Marvin Zindler:
You're never going to be right all the time, but always be righteous. Don't worry about being effective; do what is right, make it known, and the might of the masses will make you effective. Never feel naive or idealistic for supporting a noble but impractical cause; practicality has nothing to do with ethics. People will do the right thing if it's convenient, but they need
someone to bear the inconvenience of making it convenient for them. Be
that someone.

| The world is in a constant conspiracy against the brave. It's the age-old struggle: the roar of the crowd on the one side, and the voice of your conscience on the other. -Douglas MacArthur | | |
