In other news- I miss you all.... you leadership Now people....send us an e-mail- let us know how you are...
As far as my personal life goes- Isaac is funnier than ever- he really is just a wild and crazy- and funny --little man. Scott is finally starting to run again, and that is a great thing. I am, for the first time in months, feeling like I have broken through the dark cloud (depression) that had me trapped since - well- probably December. And my parents- well- everything can't be perfect. Things with my Dad get tougher by the day, but I am feeling less guilty about not being the perfect daughter who fixes everything for them. And so- it's as good as I can hope for right now.

On that note- Hope you all are enjoying Spring's arrival (of course, every other week we seem to have a warm flash followed by cold again- so we'll see how this goes). I almost never do this- but I found a fun little poem to share as we move into April. It's by Greg Kelly, is called "I Fear Not the Wrath of April" and can be found in the book "Daybook for New Voices" Edited by Maren and Maria Tirabassi:

I fear not the wrath of April

Although the arachnids rise from their winter chambers and approach me with

meanacing jointed legs

I fear not the wrath of April

Although territorial cat fights wake me at 3:00 am

I fear not the wrath of April

Although the fisher cat once again pierces the night with its morbid cry

I fear not the wrath of April

Although the pollen makes my nose dysfunctional

And I feel the stingers of 137 wasps in my eyes

I fear not the wrath of April

For the snow has melted

Another season that the Lord created has arrived

The fields are now green and ripe for frolicking.

So- i think I relate to that because i am an arachnaphobic, frolicker with allergies- but i hope others might find it a neat little poem too. Ok- blessings everyone- and especially a Happy Birthday to my hubbie Scott on April 01, and one of my favorite guys in the world- Brucie - on April 02. Love you guys!

Blessings and Peace- Jacq

So, here we are again

Ok, it's a week later - and some things have gotten better (thanks Ben, Kari & T-roy for youth event help)...and some have gotten worse (more bad news about youth event space).... And things are a mixed bag for my personal life- this weekend will include on the ugly side- a 6 hour drive up to Warren PA for my uncle Leon's funeral- which is pretty unexpected- even though he was 70 or so) and a 6 hour drive back- all on Friday... but then, on Saturday- a time with Kari and friends (Allie- when can I see you? what's your saturday/sunday like?) And I am so looking forward to that!!! Yea- food and time together!! Can't wait!

Also- my Dad's situation just got a little scarier, which makes me worry a LOT for how my mom will cope (I know most of you who might read this are teens, but just trust me when I say that it is TOTALLY WEIRD when you reverse roles with your parents- and no matter how old you are- you will NEVER be prepared for it).

On a happier note- Isaac can say over twenty words- one of which is actually mommy, but he never says that to me (sick little sense of humor already- just like his parents)... Favorite words of the week: Ball, "mimi" (which is aunt Jamie) and daddy.... so sweet. Lovin this parenting thing.

And Marja, if you read this- when I see you again, I will have sock questions galore- like how you avoid ladders when using double pointed needles, and where you got your bear pattern that you were knitting at convocation for that AIDS charity.

Alright- my love to all of you- hope to see some of you at Girls Gathering, some at Youth event- and some of you not till the summer- but in the meantime- YOU ARE LOVED!

Peace!

Youth Event- oi vey!

Ok- so the Spring Youth event is Saturday April 29 (comeone, come all) and as of this moment- so very many things are going wrong with it that I can hardly stand to think about it. Ugh! Mostly space issues and lack of help issues. That being said- any of the peer mentors who are available to help- let me know.... and especially we are looking for a few of you to lead a workshop on Taize/Alternative worship again and some to lead a workshop on the SGE to Southern Africa. So- be in touch if you can be there

On the home front- everyone is finallly doing better at our house...thank goodness... and we had a fun weekend as a family. I was a guest speaker at a world day of prayer worship service that was just so much fun, then Saturday we had Scott's parents over for dinner- then sunday we spent the day at home and cooked together ----homemade really awesome tomato soup with grilled cheese - pannerra bread filled with REAl cheddar/tomato and a little bit of bacon- yep it was in no way weight watchers friendly- but it was yummy.... and fun just to cook together in our VERY little kitchen (we need to pay off all of our credit card mistakes from the past so that we can move to a house with a REAL kitchen)... anyhow- that's my very slow little life- and I am loving it. I am teaching myself to knit socks, spending as much time at home with the guys as possible, and feeling really good lately. Hope all of you are doing well too. Until next time- blessings! Jacq

ick

so, we have all been sick at my house- and it's been ugly...First me, then Scott, and Isaac has not yet started, but we are all left wondering when he is going down like the rest of us. stomach flu's are horrible things- and now we have a really huge weekend with lots of work and events and what not...I just hope we survive.

YEA! They are both amazing- (yes you two- you really are). and So they helped with our confirmation day and that was fantastic. I am very grateful- to them, and to all the others who helped make it a success. And a special thanks to BEN HARVEY - the nicest guy I know (and one of the smartest). I adore him too.
