Oh. My. God.

Girls, where on Earth do you get long sleeve shirts, brcause we all know the mall is stocked with them?

*freaks out*

Yes, we did go on a trip, and we didn't go to Chicago- we went to Texas.
The trip was kind-of revealing in the sense, well, we got to deal with each other after five+ hours on the road together, which can be particularly trying.
It was pretty fun overall.

eck, I'm in a very offing mood lately.  I think I just want school over.

Allah's Will

So today, us kids were totally stoked about going to chi-town, and we were all like "woo-hoo!" only to come to school to find out that the trip was postponed because a teacher was sick (mind you she hasn't been at school now for a while) so we were like "NOW it makes a difference?"  And so the principal was totally stressing out, and we were stressing out as well (and that's what you get for being so last-minute).  Meanwhile, the teacher that was going with us told us that there was a problem with finding teacher substitutes, since the principal didn't like whatever person was supposed to sub.  So while we are freaking out over "What's wrong with the sub person?" another problem comes, which is that the amount of test booklets for the little kids is not enough (and this was the postponed test-taking date too!)  So us kids are just sitting in the room being upset, and people are constantly asking us about the trip, to which we replied "WE DON'T KNOW".  So finally at 12 we ask the principal about what's going on, because we thought he'd be done with tests, so he's like "ok I'll pray istikhara."  So after a bit (like after an hour or so) we find out that we ARE going to Chicago so we were like "yay alhamdullilah" oh let me tell you me and this other girl were screaming because we were happy, without realizing the principal was at the door *embarrasing, very*.  He thought it was funny.  Then, so, when we're getting our bags- the teacher who was supposed to go with us gets sick.  Turns out she has like food poisoning from this stuff she ate, so she's like super sick and her husband has to pick her up *Allah yashfiha*  Meanwhile the other kids who aren't going are looking at us and saying "is THIS enough of a sign for you?"  so we were like "yeah, yeah" and totally bummed because that's been the fourth problem I mean the first one is the main girl who this trip was mostly for wasn't going to go cuz her dad was like "no" so when she gets permission, teacher is really sick and doesn't show, test booklets are short, when we get permission, chaperone teacher gets sick.  So we didn't go today, but he said we could try tomorrow.  Of course, then we might go with a different chaperone *which I'm sure the girls will love, considering they really wanted the other one to go* and the school's going to lose money on hotel bookings and stuff anyway.

The moral of this story is that:  If Allah wills something, nothing you can do will ever change that, and His Will will always happen.  See, we wanted to go, and one after another something came up and got resolved, but the bottom line is it was not Allah's Will for us to go today (or maybe at all).  So all you can say is alhamdullilah, because you don't know what could have happened.

You don't expect these things to happen.
But they do.
So what do you do?

I finished reading slaughterhouse five.  I thought it was sad.

I'm helping them make plans for the senior trip, only they don't know I'm not going!  hahaha!

^ yes, by choice.
