I have sadly neglected my Xanga since discovering Facebook. I find that I forget all about Xanga (except for the subscriptions daily mailed to my inbox) for weeks. I cannot promise that I will be any better, but I will try to post something every once in a while. For those of you who have a Facebook - look me up! It is [another] good way to keep in touch. Perhaps a better one...
It is now just about five weeks until I must head off to my new life at college. Again I am having mixed feelings as I both want to jump into classes, experience living in a dorm, and make new friends - and to keep life from changing so drastically.
I am looking forward to quitting my jobs, I must admit. I am one to two weeks away from leaving my office job, and perhaps two or three weeks away from ending my theatre job. (For those of you who haven't kept up with that, I've been working as office assistant/receptionist at an electric supply and as floor staff at the local movie theatre.)
Tonight is the final study in a summer Bible study the ladies of my church have been doing. Our lesson book is called "Humility: The Journey Toward Holiness" by Andrew Murray. It is very good and soo convicting. I have greatly enjoyed studying humility with these friends and discussing humility as the greatest virtue and hardest to achieve. The header I have now is a quote by Thomas a Kempis that is given in the book; there are several others just as beneficial.
Farewell for now, my friends!
