I Need Your Help!

Hey everyone!  I need your help on something I'm doing for church.  We're going to play a game of Family Feud for an upcoming activity, and I need answers for the survey questions.  If you could fill these out that would be great, and you can pass them along to people too!  The more the merrier!  Don't think too much about them, just give your first answer.  The best way to get it to me would probably be to email it to me at willardscott1@juno.com.  I really appreciate your help on this!

Family Feud Questions:

1.  Name a gift a guy might give his girlfriend on Valentines Day.
2.  Name a Valentines Day gift that a girl really wants.
3.  Name a month that doesn't contain a major holiday.
4.  Name a well-known brand of candy bar.
5.  Name a place a couple might go on a first date.
6.  Name a popular month for weddings.
7.  Name a Bible story that children learn about in Sunday School.
8.  Name a decent hour to go to bed.
9.  Name a popular flavor of ice cream.
10. Name a farm animal.
11.  Name a classic Disney movie.
12.  How many times a day do you talk on the phone?
13.  Besides books, name something you read.
14.  Name an animal you would see in the zoo.
15.  How many pairs of shoes does the average man own?
16.  Name a red fruit.
17.  Besides steak, name something you might order at a steakhouse.
18.  Name a type of salad dressing.
19.  Name a special milestone in the life of a teenager.
20.  Name a famous bear.
21.  Name a vegetable kids don't like.
22.  Name a rule that parents give their children.
23.  Name a food that goes well with chicken.
24.  Besides soft drinks, name a beverage you might order at a restaurant.
25.  Name a famous John.
26. Name a student's least favorite subject in school.
27.  Give another word for money.

So, as is usually the case, I haven't updated this thing in a very long time.  Many things have happened since my last update.

First, I have started dating the girl of my dreams.  Whatever smart person said "Good things come to those who wait" most certainly knew what they were talking about.  Now that I think about it, it was about a year ago now that we first talked about dating.  A couple of times since then I thought about giving up, but really that wasn't ever an option for me.  She's been such a blessing to me, and I look forward to what God has in store for the future with such a wonderful girl.

Secondly, things at the church have been interesting.  It's definitely a struggle at times.  I always considered a "small church" to be around 50 or 60 members.  Our record attendance on a Sunday morning is 22.  I realize that we don't wish for numbers, and that numbers don't give us any real measure on spiritual growth, but the desire is there for me to be able to minister to more people.  I also realize that this is a very interesting area to plant a church in.  It's like no place I've ever been.  Nonetheless, I believe that God will bring his growth to this church, so it's just been a lesson in God's timing.  I mean, perhaps that growth won't come until I'm gone.  Perhaps all I will ever do is plant seeds.  I have learned that I must be okay with just seed-planting, or with whatever God wishes for me to do here.  God never promised me prosperity or huge attendance figures.  He just promises his blessings for his faithful.  And I can see those blessings.  They may not be in the forms I once wished for them to come, but these last eight or nine months have expanded my horizons and comfort zones in many ways, and I am most thankful for that.

In other news, I am coming to Homecoming at JBC in a few weeks, and am extremely looking forward to seeing everyone.  I've missed you people!!!

So, it's been a while since I have posted on this thing.  I've been doing well lately, still preaching up here in Eastern Kentucky.  Since I've posted, I've had Josh's wedding, which was a really good weekend.  I came down to Knoxville this past weekend to see some friends.  I didnt get to see as many people as I would have liked, or stop by JBC, but I had other plans :).

We're passing out candy at the church tonight for Trick-or-Treating, and so I have to go finish filling some bags with candy.  I know, sounds like a ton of fun.  I can't think of anything else to write about, so I guess I'll just get off here.

I miss you guys, and I hope everyone is doing well.  Later Guys!

Old Crow came out with a new cd a couple weeks ago, and I've been listening to it most of the week.  It's really  a great album, and may be just as good as their very first one.  In other current entertainment news, I've also been rewatching the second season of LOST now that it's finally out on DVD.  I have seen them all already, but I'm catching up on it to prepare me for when season three starts.  After all, what am I to do with all this extra time I have by myself?

At the church last night, we had an Oversight Meeting, my first one since I've been on the job.  It's basically a report on what's happened at the church lately, and a board gets together to check on the church's progress and growth.  It was a little nerve-wracking preparing my report for it, but it all went really well and we got some really good feedback.  It's hard to believe that I have been here at the church for four months now.

Oh, and let me just say it was great seeing everyone that I got to see down in Knoxville last week when we came down.  I wish I could have stayed longer, and there were a couple friends I didnt get to see that I would have liked to, but it was still a great visit.

That's all I got.  Later Guys!
