When times get tough and life seems hard,
The burden is heavy and things seem unclear.
Remember you have friends to get you through,
And the real ones are there to dry every tear.
I have many friends, and many are close,
I cherish the time we spend together.
I know I can lean on them in my times of need,
And I’m there for them in their times of stormy weather.
The ones closest to me I haven’t known for too long,
But it seems as if they’ve always been there.
Only a few years of many in my life,
But I know they were the answer to my prayers.
One comes to lunch and P.E. most days,
And knows me better than I thought someone could,
Another wears cowboy boots and lives a while away,
But I know if ever I need him to come to my aid that he would.
Another I fight with and I am very protective of,
But that’s only because of our past.
The last is smart and keeps me in check,
And that is a very hard task.
So as you can see I am very blessed,
To have these friends in my life, by my side.
I pray that you too have a friend like this in your life,
And if not, I would be more than happy to oblige.
