After a year and a half of planning, tears, happiness, and stress, I'm finally married. It's funny how you plan for that long and you are very meticulous (sp?) about what you want and how you want it, and it's all over in a couple of hours. Thank you to all of you who said you would come and showed up!! A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to all of my bridal party and wonderful friends who helped to make it all possible. Zorita, Joni, Lowren, Stephanie, Sara, Keely, Matt, Mark, Tyler, Chris, Sam, Steve, and Matt...you guys were amazing! Chris, your voice was so beautiful, thank you for gracing us all with it!! Kari and Josh...I would have went insane without you guys!!

And, to my wonderful husband...I love you with all of my heart and I can't wait to see what we have in store for ourselves.

So now to vent a little....

The ceremony was GORGEOUS. I could not have asked for anything to be better or different. The reception on the other hand, was not as great. The decorations were beautiful and the food was typical wedding food. But...A large number of people who said they would be there did not show up. Now, this isn't a huge deal, I know things happen. But still. They could have let me know. I'm not going to name names or anything, but it really hurts my feelings that I didn't even get a "I'm sorry I couldn't come" text message or phone call. Some people did, and we appreciate that. Others though...it just hurts. And, since we didn't have a lot of booze people didn't stay to celebrate very long, which is understandable I guess. But, if you can't have a good time with us without alcohol there seems to be a problem. I'm just saying.

Anyway...it was great and now it's over. Matt and I are waiting to go on our honeymoon until we get out to Montana. We want to go to Seattle or California or something. We'll see how that goes. Now we have to pack up our junk and spend time with families before we leave.

Aiiight peeps..bow to your sensei.

P.S....

Passed the Music Content portion of my Praxis...took the 2nd part (Principles of Teaching and Learning) this past Saturday. I believe I did well, so I should be hearing from them at the end of May...probably around the time I'll end up updating this thing again lol...

Cat is still crazy...imagine that...look at her owners...

May Daze this weekend...probably won't get to do much 'cause I have to work Friday and Saturday nights...boo!

Ok, that's it..I promise

Bow to your sensei.

So I suck at life...not really, but when it comes to keeping this updated I do.  Lots of stuff to fill everyone in on...

Student Teaching is going very well...I totally love where I am, and I love my cooperating teacher. Beth is just an amazing educator. I couldn't have asked for a better placement. We are basically long lost twins...it's pretty freakin crazy. She brings out the best of my teaching abilities...you know, you think you're good, but it takes someone special to make you comfortable enough to be yourself when you're teaching. I think that kids respond better knowing their teacher is human and not some selfish bitch. Sorry, just a little rant there lol. I have some favorite kids, I just can't help it. I love them all in their own way, but there are always some you enjoy more because they take the time to get to know you.

So, teaching takes up my day...and then relaxing or working takes up my night. I will no longer be employed at TCP after May 11th...it's bittersweet. I enjoy who I work with, but not the work involved. Granted,  it's not hard, and I should be thankful to have a job...and I am. It's just time to move on. Teaching is my job now, not working retail. Working retail is a fine career for some people, but obviously not for me.

Another big thing is, Matt comes home in 8 days!! Yeehaw! I absolutely cannot wait. The next day is a bridal shower his mom is throwing for us. BLAH. Not really looking forward to that, but what can you do.

Speaking of wedding stuff....I have pretty much everything in line. I have my dress, cake, flowers, DJ, reception place, wedding, photographer(s), favors, etc. It's going to be here so quick I won't know what to do. CRAZY!

Anyway, I better get going. I have a 6th grade Chorus concert tonight and I have to eat and get ready and junk.

Bow to your sensei.

So it's been basically a month since I've updated this beast...Matt brought that to my attention last night. So, this is for you Matty! hehe

I'll try to go in order of events that have occured. Took the Music Content part of my Praxis...I should be hearing from them soon. It could have gone either way. It was hella hard though. So, I wouldn't feel bad if I didn't pass. Went to a lot of my friend's senior recitals. They did really well. I'm so proud of my kids! hehe Went home during finals week because I was finished with my finals on Monday. Got to spend some quality time with my mom and dad (mostly dad though). Ordered the flowers for my wedding ($383), ordered the cake ($175), got the caterer for the rehearsal dinner ($350), and called around to hotels in the area to find out about rooms. Oh, and I got addresses from my grandma for my mom's side of the family. I'm just gonna say now that I will hate addressing all of those stupid things. Oh well! And J.J., I know totally what you're saying about wedding stuff. I've cried many tears that shouldn't have been cried, and probably wouldn't have been if I had an unlimited amount of money to spend. To top it all off, my wedding isn't even going to be that big.

P.S. As I'm speaking, the cat is playing with a ball of paper...which leads me to another story...

Yes, we got a cat. Matt's sister, Sara, is allergic to long haired cats. So, they were giving it away to a loving home. Well, we were the chosen ones. It's been a ride with this cat, I'll tell you what. She has been sick since we got her!! Many expensive vet bills later, she's doing much better. She's beautiful. Her name is Bengal. Maybe I can download some pics and put them up here of her.

I started Student Teaching on March 20th. Which was also Matt and I's 3 year anniversary. Yay! Too bad we couldn't spend it together. But, it's going really well so far. Being there makes me realize why I went to school and shed so many tears and fought so hard to be where I am now. I absolutely LOVE Beth (my cooperating teacher) and I love the kids. For those of you who don't know, I'm at Tower Heights Middle School in Centerville. Yes, it's middle school, and yes I love it! I guess this is where I need to be if I love middle school kids. They're such a different beast and I love it! I had my first observation from my supervisor this past Tuesday, and it went really well too.

As far as grades from last quarter go, I got all A's and 1 B. Pretty cool. I won't go into the issue of the B. If you want to know, call me or something.

Yesterday, Kari and Josh Brewer and Kari's friend Tiffany and I went to Young's. It was sooo much fun! We ate and took crazy pictures and played putt putt. Fun times! I heart my friends.

Other than that, I'm on my spring break now. YEAH!! I'm due for a break...but it's weird, not having to do anything and everyone else is still student teaching or in class. Oh well!

I miss my music major friends...Chris, Mitch, Matt, Missy, etc. etc...

I guess that's enough for now. Bow to your sensei.
