Annika's showing off the latest house update! We have new foyer flooring and wall.
See the tub and sink fixtures too? We have made some more progress on this place.
Next... we hope to have HEAT for further progress update. Hopefully coming Thursday.
Of course she's also showing off her (now faster) army crawl.
She'll be 7 months next week.

6 months, week three.
We have a fairly happy little bundle of pink. She has been singing with me when I sing. She is starting to flail as if she's waving, maybe she is. She can now go from sitting to down, to crawl, though it's still the army crawl. She still doesn't like a pacifier, never has. She's beginning to enjoy time on the floor playing just a bit more. Before she always cried screamed if I wasn't holding her, still does some of that.
She's good at hugs and kisses and very sweet. She's beginning to pull herself up on stuff, but gets scared and needs rescued when she doesn't know what to do to get up or down. I think she must be going on a growth spurt because she's eating more and getting a bit chunky (cheeks and hands). She's very curious and attentive.
She's getting more fun all the time. She also has a very sweet quiet little voice when babbling.

...and that's the update for now on m'girl. If you ever want to visit feel free to call anytime. Likely, I'd enjoy getting to show her off. :P

Annika just LOVED seeing her cousin. She was so excited every time Karleigh walked by...
yes, Karleigh is walking / rinning around. None of that "baby stuff" of pulling up on things.
She can stand and take off walking in the middle of the floor! She says Dada, Momma, dog, ball, hi, uh-uh-uh-Uh-oh...
Smart little Cookie (her last name is Cooke)

Annika wanted to hug and kiss and pat her.
...and so far, Annika is still using her potty every time she does #2, Yea!

Now that Annika is 6 months old, I was looking back at her ultrasound photos and the photos after she was born, trying to find the closest match to compare.

3D ultrasound and a picture soon after she was born.

Yep, I'd say it's the same kid. :p

Since Annika just turned 6 months old, she has learned some new tricks.

Monday, 9/15/08, we were sitting on the floor and I moved my keys so she wouldn't get them... and she did the army crawl to go get them. Amazed, because she had never done this before, I moved them again, and there she went... crawled after the keys!
The next night she used her potty chair for the first time to do #2!
Such a big girl and growing oh-so-fast.

We had quite the windstorm Sunday afternoon! There were winds of up to 74 mph

Annika is SIX MONTHS OLD today!

Annika's modeling my new floor in my studio.
We added a new outer wall to replace the garage doors, two nice big windows and new flooring.

Ok, now for some fun...
Take a look at the two pictures below.

Can you guess what's different?

Hint: the top photo is me at 6 months, the second is Annika.
Mom saved my crib sheet and blanket so Annika is using them 30 yrs later.
Monday she just had her 6 month doctor visit and shots.
She's the most normal baby that a normal baby can get.
She is in the 50th percentile on head size, height (25.5 inches) AND weight (14.4 lbs).

Another new thing this week, sucking on her bottom lip

Sweet as can be, in her little jammies

(the same jammies she has worn since birth... 0-3 mo
makes me feel good that she's still wearing them
even if she does wear 6 mo clothes otherwise.)

Practicing her toe-touches, she loves to get those toes

Rolling over like a pro.
JG calls this her little glow-worm outfit~our current favorite jammies.

The sweetest thing... she looked up into my eyes last night, and as I went to kiss
her sweet little cheek, she kissed me back on my cheek.
