Finance Junkie

I'm trying to read up more on budgeting and investments.  Does anyone have any suggestions for good beginner books/links?  I've started with:

Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money--That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!

The Millionaire Next Door

Dave suggests:  Unconventional Success: A Fundamental Approach to Personal Investment
Ben suggests:  The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need
Javier suggests:  The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness
and also:  Basic Black: The Essential Guide for Getting Ahead at Work (and in Life)

Here are some other random but awesome sites:
For personal finances: http://www.mint.com/
For tips on saving: http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/
For more investment stuff: http://www.freemoneyfinance.com/
For practicing virtual investments: http://www.updown.com/

For placing microfinance loans: http://www.kiva.org/
For placing microfinance loans that give you a 3% interest return: http://www.microplace.com/

david swensen's "unconventional success: a fundamental approach to personal investment". main takeaways: asset allocation is everything, don't time the market, buy index funds

I liked The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need by Andrew Tobias. I took the title literally and haven't read those other books so I can't compare.

Rich dad poor dad is supposed to be excellent and has been highly recommended to me by several people (although i have yet to read it). My friend, Ian Ybarra (http://ianybarra.com/blog/), is one of my friends who is really into that book.

My uncle has also pushed me, heavily, towards Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover". I have the mp3's, so if you'd like to listen to them, shoot me an e-mail and i can make it happen. And also, "Basic Black" by Cathie Black.

I don't have any suggestions for books that focus on investing, though. So if you happen to find some good ones, let me know.

Hello Ms. Jenny,
You worked hard to make your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. I see that you have a wide variety of interests and observations here!
I like to write articles about God and religion on my site to help people to really get to know God, especially in these troubled times. 9 I, the LORD, will show no mercy or pity when that time comes. In my anger I will destroy the earth and every sinner who lives on it. (Isaiah 13:9) (CEV)
I hope you get a chance to look at them.
