Expertise: wisdom and discernment; a spiritual gift from my Father. He gave it to me at my second birth. But, just like any gift, we don't always use them just because someone gave it to us. For some reason people are always asking for my opinion--even strangers in stores. So I guess I'm good at giving my opinion. (is that a good thing?) Updating into 2007

Totally thought it was time to update.  I'm in youth ministry so I have to have my myspace, but I still think it's really lame.  I'd rather discuss things on people's minds and get to know people's hearts on here.  It can get ugly here, I know, but I don't mind.  I work in advertising from home and that's very cool.  I've been super blessed to work for great people....and it's even cooler that I don't have to work with them.   I love this time of year in Texas --just after the winter blast and right before the furnace one.  I love perennial plants because they come back every year and I only had to plant them once.  I'm like, wow God, thanks for the instant garden. I don't think that anyone who has ever had a perennial garden could believe in a big bang.  Big bangs just don't keep on banging,  if you know what I mean.   I love the color and how bright green everything is when it's new. Okay, so this is random. Let me hear from you. I know I've been gone a long time...but I'm probably still on your  list.  If you got a comment from me that sort of appeared from nowhere maybe it was a God thing, because I just like to randomly find entries to comment on. If I tick you off, well, let's talk about it. <3

If everyone were exactly like you...

Without God, there is no right and wrong; there is only preference.
We can say that we prefer something to be or not to be;
but unless we appeal to God, we cannot use the words right and wrong.
If one person says something is right and another says it is wrong,
their opinions cancel each other out unless they can appeal to a higher authority.
Mankind needs God not only for salvation but also for the normal functioning of society.
It is sobering to ask, "If everyone were exactly like me, what kind of society would we have?"

Peace

"Man is not at peace with his fellow man because he is not at peace with himself.  He is not at peace with himself because he's not at peace with God."

Wow, I haven't been on here in so long I forgot how to log on.  That's okay, I had to do the myspace thing to keep up with my youth ministry peeps.  A lot of college students though are going back in time to Xanga so their friends can keep up with their lives, as Myspace is pretty lame when it comes to communicating.  Of course, I've been pretty lame when it comes to communicating too.  My daughter graduated from HS and is in college now and she is loving it.  I sobbed at random moments for a couple of days, but I'm good now.  I know she is right where God wants her to be and so that makes everything easier.  She decided at the last minute to go to a small Christian university and it sounds like they have a blast.  If I could do it over again, I'd like to try that route..  Somehow the guys and girls have an easier time hangin out and just being friends since they know they are brothers and sisters in Christ and that their not all just trying to get---gosh is there a nice way to put it? Anyway, it doesn't seem like there are so many expectations--you can hang out and not think you're dating and something needs to happen next.  Things are so much better when we leave them to God's timing and clue in to what he has in store for us than trying to always chart our own course.  Please comment my long time no heard from friends.  BTW I am female and a lot of you guys call me "sir"-- it doesn't bother me but you might have thought that I was kind of wimpy reading that part above about me getting all weepy.  But who knows, maybe dads get teary when their little girl leaves home --when no ones looking. So how is everyone doing?
