| your glorious embrace

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
– John 3:16 (KJV)
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight; Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight; Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tow’r: Raise Thou me heav’nward, O Pow’r of my pow’r.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always: Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

| visiting 2005/2006well its funny cause when i woke up it hardly seemed like today would turn out the way it did. not that i did anything mind-blowing and today was hardly adrenaline-worthy but it was kind of a heart-warming/fuzzy-wuzzy day. i woke up to elective history and mcdelivery(see what i mean) then i left for chemistry tuition. its been just about a year since i've had tuition on a saturday and i'm not saying that i enjoy tuition on saturdays but its this feeling of unspoken nostalgia and of laughing sat the most minor mispronunciations. "say-see-yum", "min-koo-roo"... or not. i have to confess that nothing much went in during that one and a half hour time span but it was so worth the traveling. after lesson, sl and i left for fairprice next door to get supplies for her big cook-off at elyn's place. an almond jelly pre-mix packet and a can of longans. then with my unconsiously bought green tea and durian desert pre-mix, we set off on another adventure(onward to elyn's place!). now tell me, what are the odds of a bus driver t aking the wrong route and then almost toppling the bus over, while you are in it. i'll guess slim. so we went all the way to sime road and then while the bus driver was attempting to make a u-turn the bus went up a curb and oh my goodness! ultimate bus adventure! so then we finally got to elyn's place (the place i spent a lot of time at in sec one. marveling at her macs, movie theatre and little brother) oh and she still has her parrot fish! we got the desserts done and watched a portion of the league of extraordinary gentlemen(which i am earnestly trying to load on youku now). then we left before she left for her mom's birthday dinner.
whoa. i wonder if it'll be like this a couple of years from now when we've all drifted apart(touch wood). will i be feeling this nostalgic? cause it seems difficult to imagine not seeing schoolmates and classmates and besties and closefriends as often as i do now. i guess its the same feeling you get from class reunions and tear-provoking events like the latter. mm, weird.

| doom machalea year of lasts- today was our last racial harmony day in secondary school. a year of firsts- today i reached school at an ungodly time (earliest in my entire schooling life, 6.55)
today turned out really good. mingling with buddies, singing memory with the DGDC(with a you), private recess chat with cash etc. but what made today special was the fact that on top of an enjoyable school day, i managed to sit myself down for 3 hrs(stop judging me, i know 4 hrs minimum) to do history/amath. so thank god for today!
one more blessing: the new lit teacher gave us a lecture today and i suddenly see the light! the play also now seems genuinely humourous. amazing man cause you know normally when lit texts are supposed to be comedious, they turn out only slightly chuckle provoking. lit lectures are now extremely engaging and oh my goodness! i was actually attentive throughout the 45/50 mins.
i appear to be the only "chinese" "what are you doing?!?!" miss four diligence 2008 jooooooooooo "omg i love this picture, i look like a monkey" puckeruphotsuff(@wordpress) i love elective history (... my nose seems to be growing longer) julia&friend cont'd daryl is beautifulest
i'm really annoyed with prelim countdowns, they seem to be on everybody's web logs. shucks, strezzzzzzzzzzzz to the maxxx i'm going to do well i don't care, Jesus will carry me ABOVE ALL, above all.
