| What Makes You Feel Old?Well, it’s been nearly 2 months since I last posted. I was honestly going to post earlier but I wanted to wait until things were a little more figured out before I told “the world”. Yes, my loyal readers (as few of you as there are) *you* are “the world”. Lol!
Have y’all (yes, Ana Liza I said y’all) ever noticed that just when you think you’ve got things figured out that, that’s when God decides that you need to be picked up and shaken upside down? I’m still not quite sure if I’ve landed back on my feet or not! About a month ago I got a call from a man in our church who works for Venture Group Enterprises (VGE). They are a 3rd party company that goes between businesses and telemarketing call centers. Let's say a business like Verizon hires VGE to sell their product. Then VGE contacts call centers around the country trying to recruit them to sell Verizon's products. So Mr. B calls and asks if I’d be interested in the job of “Quality Analyst”. I went in for an interview a few days later and over the course of the month things have been worked out and I start Monday!
My job will include but is not limited to listening to and monitoring calls made from the call centers to make sure that they are asking the proper questions, and getting proper verification and such. Taking that information and compiling it to see if the call centers are doing what they're supposed to be doing and if their sales are dropping off for some reason or another. The last thing I would be doing would be some publication/desktop publishing stuff. They have weekly bulletins and such that go out to the call centers and right now they're all done up in word. (That makes me shudder.)
It’s so crazy to think of myself working in an office building with my own desk and office and such. Am I really that old? That brings me to the next question. What makes you feel old? For me it’s not a number. 22 is just a number on a page to me. What makes me feel like I’m grown up is buying a car, getting a full time job with benefits, becoming engaged, getting married, having children! Don’t worry y’all I’m not announcing those last 3! Lol!
*sigh* It’s just all so new to me. Being home schooled, I was never tied down to a certain schedule. If we needed to go to the grocery store, we went. Other kids were jealous when I could do something on a weekday and they couldn’t because they were in school. That has continued to this day. The jobs I have had since graduating high school have all been so flexible. If my siblings were going shopping, I planned when I would work, around when we were going. It’s going to be really strange to be tied down to a 9am - 6pm, Monday - Friday job. To not have that kind of flexiblity. Seriously y’all, can you see me as a “carrier woman” as someone put it the other day??? Me? Goofy, crazy, whacked out, random Amy??? Some how... I don't see it.
I’ll close out this post with a few pics that Becky asked for. My new car a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer
We decorated for Christmas last weekend... All 17 of my Dad's Post Offices plus ornaments and such The real reason for the season
My goofy family. Group Hug!!! That's the natural expression on Tim's face a couple of hours after he's had a Monster energy drink. I think he'd been up for 20 hours by that time. That's what Black Friday shopping will do to ya! Tim & Rachel Daddy & his little girls (who aren't quite so little any more!) Ah yes... Santa's Helpers... Some of you might recognize those hats.
That's all for now! I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving!!!
Enjoy Christmas music while it's still a novalty!!!

| What are you up to??? Where have you been??? What have you been doing??? How are you???
Those are all question that have been tossed in my direction lately. Unfortunately I've been very slack in keeping this thing updated. Why? Well, does anyone even read it anymore? So many people have headed over to Facebook. Now I have nothing against Facebook. Actually, I have one myself and quite enjoy it. I guess I should write on here no matter if anyone reads it or not but truth be told, I like the comments. When people don't leave comments I think, "Hmmm... 2 comments. I guess I'm not that interesting." Then wait another month to post again.
Anyway... back to the aforementioned questions. I guess I've waited to answer those questions because well... the answer to them is. Not a whole lot. True I was busy this summer with... summery things but now that Autumn is here, at least trying to be here, life has slowed to a crawl. I know many of you don't know what that's like. You're busy with school and work and such. Which is really cool. I on the other hand I am keeping busy as well. Just not in a very tangible way. Busy, yet not. There is my weekly Bible Study with 4-6 of the most amazing friends ever; my monthly Bible Study with ladies more mature in years than myself; my precious weekly choir of 3-6 year olds; my weekly adult choir practice where I attempt to sing alto; weekends spent hanging out and watching movies with Mandie and misc. other events to fill my time.
Now just in case you think I'm lazy or am unsure of what direction I'm headed (which might not be far from the truth) I am pursuing some other avenues of business. What, you ask? That is not for me to discuss as of yet. Maybe in another month you shall get an equally boring update on my life in which I'll inform you of the possibilities but not yet.
Oh! I did get tagged! Thanks Kym! (I'm serious!) That means I have to go hunt up pictures...
....
....
Okay, here we go! I had fun looking through all my pics from this year! I couldn't keep it to just 5. Enjoy!
RULES: 1. People who are tagged need to share five (or however many you want. ) random photos of themselves on their own blog. 2. Include the rules. 3. Choose seven people to tag and leave a comment telling them they are tagged 2005 - With Mini Me!

| Here she is! My new toy!

Isn't she gorgeous???
I'm SO excited to get a new phone!!! My Dad and Tim each got one too. My Dad got a blue one like mine and Tim's is...
Yup, green. It looks brighter and cooler in person. We're definitely not going to get them mixed up!
Not only does it have a camera but it also has a camcorder and mp3 player! Talk about sweet! I know y'all will argue that the camera is aweful but honestly, I don't care. It's not half bad when you're in a pinch and I even figured out how to change the white balance on it. | | |
