So have you ever noticed how your textbooks just end up sitting there gathering dust (the ones you couldn't bear to sell back to Sundance and get $15, the ones you swear you'll need later "just in case I need to freshen up?", or how bout the ones they wouldn't take back because the publishers were coming out with that damned new edition(!) Well I have tons of these kinds of books! And they've just been gathering more dust on my book shelf and depreciating in value as the years pass by. All perfectly good books just wasted.

So I googled in book donation and I found this organization called Bridge to Asia. You send them your old textbooks and they send it to universities and schools in China whose faculty/ students really need books in English to study from. You can even send them syllabi and other class materials. The only thing is that you have to pay out of pocket to send your books to the organization's warehouse (in Cali and Illinois)- BUT you can mail your books using the media mail rate, which costs a LOT less than the regular rate. Or if you're sneaky like me, I just mailed it from work...
(Whatever dude, it's for a good cause).
