I am finally having some downtime where I don't have to think about midterms, interviews, or retreat, or capital markets. Things have been ok I guess. Really exhausted actually. Funny how I am working harder this semester than ever, not much play, mostly seriousness, especially after the tooth incident. I guess next week is not looking that much better, especially since accounting is starting up again, senior group and interviews happening, and some event to plan. And well, hopefully I start batting on some of my interviews so I can have a chance of ending my recruiting process early.
And I'll leave you guys with this. This is pretty stupid but hilarious in a way:
Boy, did we make it happen at the Red River Gorge. Spending a week in the Midwest with Marc was amazing. We got to see the Reds game, go golfing, and go camping. Yeah, that's all we did but it was relaxing, fun, and interesting. You know going anywhere with Marc is always filled with interesting adventures, whether they are good or bad. I am sad I did not have my camera with me the entire time to capture all the crazy and fun moments, but I was able to take a few photos. Here are some of them:
Our tent (where we slept for 4 nights)
Our campfire and dinner
Marc being "Indiana" and climbing to the top without any aides.
Me attempting to rockclimb but failing miserably
Gorgeous view from the Natural Bridge
Angel's Window- Marc in the "Garden of Eden"
Creek Jumping
Me rope swinging
Good times in Indiana, but glad to be back in Cali. Sleep in a tent and fighting off thousands of bugs aren't really my thing but it was a neat experience. Funny how my best memory did not come from the 4 day camping trip but from saving par on a 375 yards par 4 hole 8 at a golf course. Golfing in Indiana was great and I am definitely going crazy about it. I got myself a cheap set of clubs yesterday and going to hit up an 18 hole golf course with Mike on Tuesday :).
On another note (to Matthews people), Eileen's wedding went well yesterday. Unfortunately I forgot my camera but you guys missed some of Eileen's crazy dancing. Don't worry though, Eileen promised to send pictures. I gotta say Yalies are crazy for sure.
Edit: to clarify the meat is for 5 people not 2! We had spaghetti, corns and beans with that! Though gotta say that's only 1.7 pounds of meat on that pan. Two grown men can finish that.
