A rainy day-off, a lonesome house, and a good, good book... My wife and I at home alone... A Sunny day and my Bicycle with fully aired-up tires, and no particular place to go... A Winter's day where the snow has been falling heavily for an hour... My Brother Woody, a tall, wooded mountain with a hinking path to the top, loaded backpacks, and our wives out shopping for the next three or four days... A long drive with Dad... A Train ride downtown, and fifty curious children asking a myriad of questions... The last class day of the semester, my P.E. Class meeting for bowling at the nearest alleys, and no other classes for the rest of the day... A cup of coffee in a quaint, second-floor coffee shop, overlooking the circular road in front of the train station, Bible at hand, notebook and colored pens and pencils ready... A classfull of students all of whom happen to be especially talkative and antsy to ask questions... Mom and Dad at the airport, here to spend a week or more with my wife and me... Arriving at the Airport, and my brother's daughters jumping into my arms with an "UNCLE J!!!!!!!!! at the tops of their lungs... A child at one of the kindergartens I teach in part-time not wanting me to put him or her down... Butterflies in a meadow of flowers, on a beautiful but strangely cool Summer afternoon, and all the time in the world... Sitting on the sand at the Ocean on a partly-cloudy day, and having all the time in the world just to sit, listen, watch, breathe deeply, and see how really small in this world I happen to be... A game of Axis & Allies with my good buddy Kevin Bost... A hot, dry, Summer day in Cheonan City, Republic of Korea, with 300 students at Korea Nazarene University's Summer English Camp (that actually makes for a great couple of weeks!!!)... Going shopping with Mom (yeah, I know: "How un-Guy-ish!" But when I was growing up, I was the one who was sent shopping with Mom; it became a good time for us to talk about anything and everything)... A long, long letter from anyone at home.... The end of a stressful day and a room full of weights and weight lifting benches and machines, and not another soul in sight... A free day to go to a baseball game with my lady Reina Jihye... The opportunity to be smack-dab in the middle of downtown Tokyo... The chance to drive all the way from Kansas City to Mom an Dad's old place in Evansville, Indiana... Hearing form my wife how much Mom and Dad love her, and hearing from Mom, dad, and my brother and sister-in-law how well my Lady Reina Jihye fits into our family... My niece Samantha testing her new bubble-gum flavored lipstick by kissing me on the cheek multiple times... Playing "Dirty Uno" with Mom, Dad, my brother, my sister-in-law, my wife, and my niece Jessica... Having my Lady Reina Jihye fall asleep on the train with her head resting on my shoulder... In the Lord's House on any given Sunday... Playing Chess with my Dad and my brother... Going to our home church in the States and seeing everyone that we haven't seen for a year (or more)... Spending time with my Lady Reina Jihye, Oma, Haymoni, and Choje in Seoul... A lot of free time, and the public library being open for extended hours.... I could go on, and on, and on....
