So, I got in a wreck friday night...
Well, I was going home from a friends house. I got to Bardin, and it was kinda a blind turn, and I was back too far from the street. I looked both ways (once left, once right) and saw no one coming. I pull out about half a lane, and then the next things I hear are SCREEECH BOOM
It wasn't very bad. Neither of us were hurt, I only hit my head on the window (didnt really leave a bruise), and she wasn't hurt either. It was really only a minor accident, and the cop didn't have to stay that long. My truck has a small dent near the driver side front tire. Her jeep's bumper was dented pretty bad, she had a broken light, and a 3inch gash on the hood.
It could have been so much worse. If she had been really driving fast down that road like most people, and hadn't put on her brakes so hard, I don't know what might have happened. It makes me think about how stupid it was that my only thought after it happened was "My parents are going to kill me...". I wouldn't call it a near death experience or whatever (if anything it was just a fender bender, and the other driver was in more danger than me), but it does teach me a lesson to be more careful, and it's just kinda a reality check.
Right now, I'm just happy no one was hurt, especially her. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I hurt somebody because of my stupidity.
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to write this down somewhere. |
