| Wow, only the second week of school, and already I'm sleep deprived. It does get easier, right?
| | |
| Christmas, wow, where to begin.
My most favorite present this year: $100 from the parentals
My most random present this year: a baking sheet and cookie
dough from Maeben (seriously, very random my dear) but I still love it, lol.
“Oh the weather outside is frightful……..” You can say that
again. It’s pretty gross outside right now. And before this gloomy weather
started, it was about 70-80 degrees out. It definitely did not feel like
Christmas. All of a sudden the rainy weather started. Now if the rain would
only freeze, then we’ll be in the right form of precipitation.
Being home is great. I don’t even mind all the chores. If
all I have to do the entire day is wash a few dishes after every meal, that’s
nothing compared to this hectic past semester.
I can sleep now. Even though I still stay up late and wake
up ridiculously early. Force of habit.
I got to visit with my Grandmom, the lady that sponsored my
dad to Brenham, and we were able to catch up on this past semester. She is such
a wonderfully sweet lady.
I’ve been able to hang out with my girls. Ly, Mary, MeiLene,
and Maeben, and we’ve been having a blast. Unfortunately all of these carefree
days are going by so fast. I wish that winter break could be a little longer so
that I could enjoy more time with these wonderful ladies before we all graduate
and move away. :: sigh ::
Hubert is coming to see me on the 29th and I’m
looking forward to his visit again. God Bless him for driving out so far to see
me.

| There once was a girl who wanted skill. The skill to be able to do
whatever she set her mind to do, the skill to be a success at whatever
she tried, the skill to get herself out of any sticky situation.
There
once was a girl who wanted more time. Time to finish her work, time to
spend hanging out with friends, time to relax and lounge around for a
few hours, time once again to do the all things that she loved.
There
once was a girl who wanted to be appreciated. Appreciated for the
effort she puts into the things she does, appreciated for always trying
to be helpful, appreciated for noticing the small almost insignificant
details, that others overlook, appreciated for trying to always be
upbeat even though inside she felt the opposite.
There once was
a girl who wanted respect. Respect from her peers who she does nothing
but help, respect from her colleagues because she does her best to
produce the best possible work, respect from her friends because all
she wants is to do is love them and hopes for the same in return.
Now,
this girl just wants to be forgotten. She wants to be forgotten so that
nothing can be demanded of her, forgotten so that nothing can be
expected of her, forgotten so that she can do no wrong, and nothing she
does can be a disappointment.
Just forget her, she's not important. Just forget her, and while you're at it, forget me.

| I definitely needed this weekend. I didn't get as much work done as I should have, but it definitely relaxed me and I was finally able to hang out with ppl and have a social life again.
Lately, Hubert has been coming to see me on thursdays, and has been attending out ASA meetings and all that. Also, he seems to be our honaray historian, b/c a camera is still semi-permenantly attached to his hand, lol.
On Friday, we went to two parties, one at my friend Adrian's house with a buch of ppl from the Communication Designs program, and one at Long Dien's house, where pretty much the entirety of ASA came. Loads of fun, loads of shocking behaviour, lol. :: sigh :: memories. At Adrians
Me trying to be gangsta
At LongDien's
On Saturday, pple came to help paint the spirit wall for the spirit wall competition this week. I think it kicks butt, and the winnin organization recieves $100, which I think we could really use with the upcoming APAEC Conference to fund for. After that, we went to a UTA mixer in Arlington. The perfect amount of pple came, not too much where it took forever to get a lane for bowling, and not too little where there were empty pool tables. Hubert, Sandy, and I left early to attend my friend Yukiko's birthday celebration, and her friend made some yummy custard. Quang and I painting the spirit wall

Sunday, Hubert and I went with Long Dien and his sisters to go boating on Lake Ray Roberts. Sooooo relaxing. at Lake Ray Roberts
with Hubert, and the boat wasn't moving, our hair froze that way after the boat ride stopped, lol All in all, it was what I needed to jumpstart this week properly. Thank you all for making it so wonderful!
