WOW. July 4th was our last entry. let's see...

we got the new HARRY POTTER book!! haha. we had it reserved at the nearby book store. :) 40% off!! woohoo..! already finished it... quite angry about how it ends though...I can't wait for the 7th!! she better have a good explanation for it all.

hahaha.. we were excited...took pics. :) but then again, we take pics of everything here.. we're like those people who take pictures with the big balloons at scarborough town centre:

vick's reading it now... i took it to read it first. hahaha.

On Sunday, we took our tutor kids out rollerblading by the riverside. :) We packed our rollerblades from Canada (omg, it took up like 1/4 of our bags!!) still not sure if that was a smart idea..

The kids are great - their families are great - they feed us all the time. lol. and, pay us pretty well. :) man, if only Canadian jobs paid half as decent..

On the 22nd (we skipped school..again. :( bad habits die hard...lol.), we went to Boryeong for the Mud Festival there. hahaha.. mud wrestling, mud slides, mud..everything. tons of fun:

that's the mascot man. kinda creepy... :)

apparently the mud's great for your skin. lol. and expensive.. whatever. :) we'd get muddy, dry up a bit, play on the slides and other stuff, jump into the water and swim for a little, then do the whole thing over again. lol. fun times.

Now, THIS weekend was our long weekend. No school on Friday, so all of us at school were going off on trips all around Korea.  We decided to go island hopping near Incheon. This week's supposedly the hottest weather of Korea's summer...we got jipped and got real cloudy chilly weather. We got to the beach, and had tons of fun, just cuz of how bad it was.. :)

ended up coming home the same day. :)

hung out with one of Pat's friends. lol. "what a tool" as Deborah says. lol. He ate the nastiest things just for our amusement - wet cuttlefish eye, and a watery mixture of all of our food garbage. lol. yuck! it was a good laugh though...haha. and we have it all on film.

here are some of our random pics of the night...

hahaha...so we live in an area surrounded by love motels. which, is pretty much what it sounds like - motels you can rent by the hour. haha. korea's crowded, apartments are always packed, never a quiet moment - gotta escape to one of these for a moment alone...hahaha.. quite sketchy though. people always put these sex cards on the cars around - we spotted the people who do it - it was a COUPLE!! hahaha. a random average couple. lol. makes you wonder.

haha. that night we had Pat go in with Debra and Trish, to see the reaction of the lady at the desk when Pat had two girls with him instead of one. THREESOME!! lol. BUT, the lady said three people couldn't go in!! so, the girls played rock paper and scissors for Pat... hahahahaaha. funny stuff.

we also tried Pat and Dennis going in together to see what response they got from a 'gay' image... but that was lame. Dennis blew it out of proportion.

so that's our update. :) 2 more weeks of school, then 2 weeks of "vacation" then back to home sweet home.

btw. anybody ever hear of "the face book"?  Apparently it's REALLY big in America, so Debra and Trish made me an account...

www.thefacebook.com check it out - kinda cool. but, your uni has to be listed in the databank...and you hafta use the uni email address to sign up. and then, it's like friendster. :) join! hahaha. then add me. :)

so we're slacking with the entries.

hmm..quick update:  went clubbing here in Korea. lol. quite interesting. it was "clubbing night" when I went...where you pay about $15 and you get entry to all of the surrounding clubs. so, it was quite packed. for those of you familiar with "the Spot"...picture that, only in an area about 5 times bigger. haha. yuck, eh.  talk about crowded to the MAX.  but it was fun..tons of fun.  I hung out w/ these girls from class from California...haha. they attracted lotsa attention from the guys which made our night that much more interesting.  oh, and the black guys here were tryin to teach the korean guys to dance.  lol.  yeah, none of 'em were brave enough to try and dance up on any of the girls. that was funny to watch.

That was the highlight of last week.

THIS weekend, we went to Charlie's cottage again.  . This time, we went up with a group of his friends, aka, the Jellyfish. lol. something about the year they graduated and the name of their highschool - all of that translates very roughly to the word "jellyfish" in english, so that's what they call themselves. haha. Thirteen guys...and Vick & me.  you can imagine how thrilled my parents were when they heard about that one. lol. but, they're 24 years old..and all but one have served their military service...so they were all quite mature and brotherly to us.

the night before, we went to a "game room"...where you get to play boardgames all night. lol. sounds gay, i know. i thought so too. haha. but it was fun. check out what happens when you lose...

anyways. the language barrier made things HILARIOUS.  haha. they started a game where they would hit each other if they spoke Korean. :)  When one guy slipped, another guy would yell "HIT HIM!!"...but in Korean of course, cuz that's their first language - easiest to yell in.  it was like a circle of beatings. that game ended quite quickly.  we got along the rest of the trip with a mix of English and Korean --- Konglish.

so we all drove up in ONE car.. lol. i guess you'd call it more of a truck.  for those of u who know me, that's about the extent of my car knowledge. lol.

°Å¹Ì..."Spider", our driver and chef.

anyways, here are some pics... :)

we walked about 15 minutes up the mountain to this BEAUTIFUL waterfall...

here's the group of us.  :)  beautiful eh?  the water was COOLD though.. that would explain why i'm sick now..

:) Vick, Me & Lawrence.  lol. ADMIT it lawrence, you had fun.

across the water... talk about a strong current!! hahaha... we almost lost a flip flop!! haha. luckily the guys were crazy enough to jump into the water to grab it.

our dolphins...

a friendly handshake before our relay race - back and forth across the water. lol. it turned out to be quite a wrestling match... my team won. !! woohoo!!

okay. it was the other way around - i got attacked first. haha. i'm just gettin even...or tryin to at least. lol.

Charlie, Lawrence and me...splashin vicki, our temp photographer.

:) army guys... reminiscing. haha

the "Jellyfish"...minus one guy who came later.

beside a temple...we got kicked out cuz of what we were wearing..

it was 'fly central' at the cottage - we were right next to an apple orchard, so all the fallen apples attracted millions of flies. here's just ONE of the strips we hung. *shudders* haha. vick looked crazy, swatting constantly, sometimes at nothing!! hahahaa..

the "strong" jellyfish.. lol. the ones who stayed up all night w/ vick & me. check out how much food we had!!! YUMMM!!!

fuuunnn times. :) I hope we get a chane to go back and hang out w/ 'em...

lol. oh. check out another strange bug we found...it's protected by the gov't...so they can't kill it - just throw it... which they did...on vick and me. ... we FREAKED...

hahaha...you shoulda seen how FAST we climbed behind Charlie and JP.. my gosh. lol.  then, Charlie took something and threw it off the gazebo...we figured it was the bug. haha. 2 minutes later, Vick's fixin her sweater, and touched her necklace... hahaha. you should'a seen her face: "   JEAN! What's on my necklace?!?!!?!?"  hahaahahahahahaahahahaa...  I screamed, jumped to the other side of Charlie..hahahaa. and ... wow. watched her attempt to pry it off herself while screamin her head off...hahahaha...

so many laughs.  haha.. .thanks guys for the amazin time. Lawrence, you're the only one of 'em who'll read this.. so pass the msg, please and thank you. :)

now i hafta go cuddle in bed, and hope my cold will go away soon. :( lol. totally worth it though!!

Before i begin w/ our weekend visitin Lawrence, let me give you guys the bug update. The guys next door came over and took the bug away. Hahaha... they were unimpressed with how "small" it was - apparently they were expecting a giant after the way Vicki and I made it seem!! hahaha, they threw it out our 8th floor window... GREAT.  the mom will be mad now... hahaha.  so...yup. vicki and i walk everywhere with our slippers on.   just in case.

Our weekend with Lawrence was fun stuff. hahaha. Karaoke is THE thing to do here. my gosh...what fun!  The Korean people love the English songs - they know all of our classics... remember stuff like "do the locomotion..." ... "do you believe - cher"... "love potion # 9". hahaha... picture drunk korean guy screaming those songs at the top of his lungs. quite hilarious. :)

the one in the red was quite plastered. danced EVERYWHERE...with EVERYONE...to ANYTHING!! hahaha.. what a funny guy. completely quiet and shy while sober... and like, THE MOST social guy in the world when drunk.  :)

Let's see...next day we went to "woobang land"...a mini Wonderland.  what a name eh? "WOO! Bang land.." hahahaha... anyways, thought you all would get a kick outta their outfits!!

Here are more pics... too tired to explain.  make up your own story. :)

oh. and forgot to show you guys this one... (pretend the umbrella is one of those cool kendo sticks!!)

Vicki:  Well, another day's gone by.  They go by so quickly here I can't even keep track anymore.  I went to my first calligraphy class today.  I know, sounds gay... but it's actually pretty cool.  It's Korean calligraphy, where you paint with black ink on rice paper, looks nice.  Today's class was 1 1/2 hours long, and the entire time we painted vertical and horizontal lines... oooh, jealous yet? haha...

Anyway, Jean and I were watching T.V. in our room when all of a sudden this huge (no exageration), HUGE bug thing crawls out from underneath the end of my bed!! Hmm... let me think of how to describe it to you so you too can understand the SERIOUSNESS of the situation. lol.  Okay, remember Monster's Inc... the evil bug that wanted to capture all the little kids so he could have the most number of screams?  ...well, THAT is EXACTLY what it looked like.  Very quick, slinky and ewughh.. gross!  lol, we got out ONE of our 4 cups that we own to capture it, but we were too late.  It was soo fast, it just slipped under another piece of furniture.  Next time! lol.  Oh, and we named him Creature... for future reference.  =)

OKAY.  OH MY GOSH!! CREATURE'S BACK!  I was sitting here typing, Jean was sitting beside me studying and all of a sudden I hear, "OH MY GOSH, IT'S BACK!!" hahahahaha!  Luckily, I left the cup out on my desk, and with my super quick reflexes (haha), I caught it!  Oh gosh, how 'crocodile hunter' of me. haha.

Anyway, we'll post the pics.  If you guys have ANY idea what it is or what it can do or what you think we should do with it, feel free to leave us a comment/suggestion.  Actually, we would REALLY appreciate it! lol.  OH, and one other thing I forgot to mention, the one we just caught isn't even the first bug that we saw... it looks like the baby! ...which means, THERE'S MORE THAN ONE!! ahhh... =(

<<a HUGE pic...so you see how gross it is>>

Okay, that's it.  I was going to get into more detail about other things... but the bug attack right now just kinda've killed it for me.  hahaha... I'll be sure to update more often.

P.S. - Since the cup is always half full for me... at least we have a new pet? haha... yah right!  ...actually, it's kinda've like having a fish! haha.  We trapped it in a glass cup, so we can see it going from one side of the cup to the other.  And the way it slinks around (although incredibly disgusting), actually keeps my attention and distracts me from doing my work for like 5 minutes at a time! lol!

Oh... and one more thing.  The dad of this bug we caught we already named Creature... we haven't caught him yet... BUT WE WILL! haha... so if you have any suggestions for the name of his son, we'd like to hear them.  No gay names though... we like originality. haha...

Jean: HAHAHA. vick's great. the bug stopped moving, and vick's like "it's thinking of it's master escape plan."

anyway, here are more pics for you all:

<<that's my contact case in the TOILET, and Q-tips as chopsticks!! yes, the azn skills come in handy!! and no, I didn't keep it. straight to the garbage.>>

<< met with our Karaoke friend. :)  she had KARAOKE ON HER CELL!! hahaha. how cool is that?!>>

<< I CUT VICK's BANGS!! >>

Last but not least...

<<MADAGASCAR ADS ON STAIRS!! lol. they have SO much Western stuff here...ALL kinds of Western TV, that makes Vick real happy. :) AND, Western music everywhere!! >>

That's it. Huge blog, eh?  :)

Huge blog, yeah?  lol. (How Paul, the Hawaiin dude, would say it.)
