  • Okay...

So things don't alwasy go the way you planned.

That dosen't mean that they can't still be good.

I'm slowly (very very slowly) learning that some things never change and some people are not ment to stay in your life forever.

Its okay though, because the people who are ment to stay in your life are a million times more amazing anyway, even if it takes you awhile to realize it.

    I've had an interesting week.

  • Let the coutdown begin...

Actually it began on Monday when I walked into work and went "TWO MORE DAYS OF WORK".  I have the day off today to finish laundry and pack.  Laundry is almost done, but I haven't started packing yet. I finally figured out how to get into my old photobucket! I have some great old pictures from the camp out the last couple years.

    babybottle

(2005) Rodney recieving the baby bottle, this was the year that we "broke" into his tent and replaced all his stuff with more... feminine things.

     Me

He didn't take well to the idea though, and it resulted in me, katie and sam completely covered in shaving cream. Definetly a good year.

    rodneyhammok

Rodney also enjoyed his hammock throughly that year

    tent

My tentmates that year. We had a grand time.

    iowagroup

These are the Iowans that were at the 2005 camp out.

    100_1857

(2006) two of my FAVORITE girls. I love them both dearly. Kendra couldn't come last year, I'm really hopeing she makes it this year.

    100_1885

That was Rodney's year for revenge, in front of everyone.

    100_1895

He also covered us in silly string.

    100_1924

Two great boys. Ya gotta love them!

I have some wonderful memories from the camp out, and I am SO thrilled that Zach can make some for himself this year.

    (18 hours till take off)

  • Nothing too exciting

I am finally done with summer classes!! NO MORE CLASSES TILL AUGUST. I am so happy to be done!

Zach still is (mostly) jobless.  He is doing some odd work for his dad (who owns his own business) and will probably begin drawing unemployment if something dosen't show up soon.  However, there is always a silver lining.  Zach gets to come to the camp-out with us this year!!! I am insanely happy about that.  We will be going down the Thursday before it starts with Grandma and Grandpa Flack (if thats when they leave) and we will be heading back by ourselves after services Thursday.  His family has a huge 4th of July celebration, so we want to make it back for that on Friday since I have never been able to go to one.

I'm still workin both jobs (Barnes and Noble and Subway) we just got done with employee appreciation days at B&N which ment 40% off for an enitre week.  I got a cookbook, two beachbags and some other random stuff.  Some of the stuff that I'm really excited about is a NKJV study Bible, a really great KJV study Bible that I'm going to take to church (I need to start transfering my notes from my old Bible) and a strongs concordance.

Zach and I haven't really begun too much wedding planning.  We are still trying to figure out things like colors, time of day, who we are gonna have take pictures, etc. (By the way, when I say we I really mean me because he couldn't care less about any of that.  As long as we are married at the end of the day he would be happy with anything.) I'm really looking forward to starting to plan that stuff.  We do have our wedding party (mostly) figured out though.  Bridesmaids, Groomsmen and ushers are set in stone, but nothing else quite yet.

The flooding hasn't really affected us too much (we live on a hill, if we are flooding the rest of our area would have to be completely underwater).  The only real issue we have is road closings.  Last night Hwy 28 was closed and Hwy 69 was closed, the part of Grand by school was closed, and Hwy 5 was closed.  We pretty much coudln't get anywhere without taking I-35 (which had water very close to the road in some palces).  A levy on the Des Moines River (or maybe it was Raccon River, I don't remember) broke early this morning so parts of Des Moines are underwater.  However, when we listened to the news tonight it sounded like the evacuation of Des Moines had ended and people could go back to their homes, so that is good news!!

Thats pretty much all I had for news, I hadn't updated in awhile and thought I'd catch you guys up quick.  I don't even have any pictures because 1) I don't know where my camera is and 2) last time I did know where it was the batteries were dead.

    Have a wonderful Fathers Day!!
