| Sing A New Song
PSALM 96:1 NIV 1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
No doubt God, who makes every snowflake different, enjoys new things.
Five times Scripture tells us to sing to the Lord a new song.
You, with God's help, can sing a song to the Lord that's never been sung before.
Don't say you can't do it! God made your mouth and He can give you words to sing.
God is a Creator, and you are His child. Step out in faith. Ask the Lord to help you.
PSALM 105:2 NASB 2 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders.
Get by yourself and practice. Sing a new song. Make it up as you go. If you mess up, God won't laugh at you. It may not be very good. But every parent cherishes their child's first attempts.
Make a joyful noise. Rejoice in the Lord. Both you and the Lord will enjoy it.
EPHESIANS 5:19 NIV 19 . . . Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
After you practice in private, you may even want to try it in public.

| You Are God's Work Of Art
EPHESIANS 2:10 NLT 10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Outwardly, you may not appear to be much of a masterpiece. You may look like a piece of junk. But inwardly, and in reality, you are God's work of art -- and God does not make any junk.
All that is outward and seen is only temporary -- like the cocoon the butterfly inhabits for only a short time. So, while you should take care of your present body, don't be overly concerned about it. Most importantly, don't think of yourself as just the body you are now living in.
You are a child of Almighty God, creator and ruler of the universe. Someone God is "raising" to be His companion for eternity. You are NOT insignificant.
Admittedly, you are a work in progress. God still has more work to do with you -- but He is the artist, and He will finish His work. (Hint: as you submit to God, the easier it is for Him to change you into the wonderful image He has in mind.)
Someday, everyone will clearly see what God has done in you: making you a wonderful, unique individual worthy of Himself.

| Do Not Be Afraid
JOSHUA 1:9 9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Over and over the Bible tells us to not be afraid.
When you stop and think about it -- it's ridiculous to be afraid when God is with you -- and for you.
As humans, we tend to forget. Maybe that's why God said so many times to "Fear not!"
Here are just a couple examples.
LUKE 12:7 NIV 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
ISAIAH 41:13 NIV 13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

| SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT...SO SAD... (M.A.D.D: Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Went to a party Mom...
I went to a party, And remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, Mom, so I had a sprite instead.
I felt proud of myself, The way you said I would, that I didn't drink and drive, though some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice, And your advice to me was right. The party finally ended, and the kids drove out of sight.
I got into my car, Sure to get home in one piece. I never knew what was coming, Mom, something I expected least.
Now I'm lying on the pavement, And I hear the policeman say, the kid that caused this wreck was drunk, Mom, his voice seems far away.
My own blood's all around me, As I try hard not to cry. I can hear the paramedic say, this girl is going to die.
I'm sure the guy had no idea, While he was flying high. Because he chose to drink and drive, now I would have to die.
So why do people do it, Mom Knowing that it ruins lives? And now the pain is cutting me, like a hundred stabbing knives.
Tell sister not to be afraid, Mom Tell daddy to be brave. And when I go to heaven, put "Mommy's Girl" on my grave.
Someone should have taught him, That it's wrong to drink and drive. Maybe if his parents had, I'd still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mom I'm getting really scared These are my final moments, and I'm so unprepared.
I wish that you could hold me Mom, As I lie here and die. I wish that I could say, "I love you, Mom!" So I love you and good-bye.
