| Bestest Teacher in the WORLD!I've been very fortunate in my academic career, in that I've had a LOT of good teachers, and they've helped me through a lot of tough times, but I feel that Professor Clark really is the definition of a great teacher... - He shows that he cares about our development by actually being there outside of class... - Those 5000 word essays... he actually READS it all... and puts little smiley faces and sad faces depending on the content over specific words. - He teaches to the needs of the students and treats us as equals... - He tries to make each class as fun and interesting as possible - And most importantly, we feel better about ourselves and our situations after going to his class.... I guess that last point kind of sums up the whole thing... I know the list doesn't look that impressive, but the fact that going to his class can brighten my whole day, says a lot about him as a teacher.... I Professor Clark!!! And I'm really going to miss him next term : ( | | |
| I used to believe in Forever......I used to believe in Forever, but forever is too good to be true - Pooh I guess true love doesn't exist in Hollywood... First Jen and Brad and now Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe. If it can't happen in Hollywood, what hope do us commoners have of finding forever??? _____________________________________________________________________________________ Reese Witherspoon, in her typical type-A fashion, didn't dillydally when it came to filing for divorce from Ryan Phillippe, and while she remains tight-lipped about their decision to call it quits after seven years of togetherness, her soon-to-be ex is going on the defensive.
"I'm not a perfect person, but I'm not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of," the easy-on-the-eyes actor declares to People. "My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family." But Phillippe, 32, who has two kids -- Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3 -- with Witherspoon, 30, is keeping his cakehole closed on whether his imperfections extend to reports that he cozied up to Abbie Cornish, 24, on the set of the forthcoming drama "Stop Loss." "He took her to the movies, they went to dinner, everything in public," a snitch tattles to the New York Post. According to Us Weekly, Reese decided to pull the plug on their union when she peeked into Ryan's BlackBerry and found "tons" of incriminating e-mails he exchanged with the Australian actress, who has insisted nothing untoward took place. "She confronted Ryan and he totally admitted it," says a "Witherspoon confidant." Ryan wanted out. He wanted out for so long." The mag also helpfully notes the surface similarities between Reese and Abbie (we don't see much beyond blond coifs and well-defined chins, but hey, that's just us), even carting out a psychiatrist to assess the situation. "Oftentimes, husbands are also trying to control their wife," the head-shrinker posits of the dynamics of dating a spouse look-alike. "So by becoming involved with someone who looks like her, he's able to feel like he controls her." While Phillippe isn't commenting on rumors linking him to Cornish, he is going on the record denouncing some other speculation related to the split. People floats the possibility that his purported love of partying may have played a role in the bustup, with a mole maintaining that he and Witherspoon "would fight about that kind of thing all the time. He got away with a lot and he knows it." But his rep dismisses the talk, telling the mag, "Look, he went out, she went out, it wasn't a point of conflict." What was a point of conflict, says an insider, was Phillippe's tendency to crash at his office, sometimes "for days at a time," after he and Witherspoon would argue.
| Lest we Forget....Remembrance Day is always a sad day for me... My grade 10 history teacher did a very good job. After learning about the sacrifices of all those young men and seeing footage of the devastation, I'll never be able to forget....
Let us never forget those who died, Let us never forget the mutilated families, Let us never forget the shattered youth, Let us never forget the bloody lessons, Let us never forget that freedom is not free.
| There's no place like Home...I went home to Toronto for the weekend, and honestly, after being away for such a long time, there really is no place like home. Home is where there's clean clothes, yummy dinner and a loving family waiting for you with open arms Bunny got Raptor's tickets for us, and I went to see the Raptors game on Friday night... We won! And Samuel L. Jackson was there too!! He's a big Raptor's fan.... I guess he likes the punishment Afterwards, Bunny took us to a place called Ki... which is a modern Japanese restaurant at BCE place... Apparently that's where you go on a Thursday night if you want to get picked up. I asked bunny how he knew that.... and he laughed.... so I pinched him It was really nice there... They say you can judge a restaurant by how nice the restrooms are... there was a red velvet couch in the women's washroom, and the napkins felt like they were made of cloth... so yea..... I give it 5 stars for ambience... however, I still prefer Ginza for the sushi, although this restaurant is probably a lot more authentic. What can I say... I like spicy mayo and tempura flakes on my fish On Saturday, my parents took me to the doctor to get the flu shot.... it made me sleepy... and I spent the rest of the day sleeping it off... At night, I went out with my favouritest girl friend Winky to a club called..... Shallow Groove (?!?). Bunny complained about waiting in line, but it was really fun. I was totally brain dead when I left the car, and brought my purse with me into the club... which Bunny had to babysit for me. He's the best bf EVER So yea... while I danced with Winks and a bunch of other random guys, Bunny sat and watched my bag.... awwwww honestly... where did I find this guy???? This morning, I woke up early and drove with Bunny to visit my brother in Waterloo b/c it was his birthday on Halloween. We went to a great brunch buffet place called Rushes. It's somewhat pricey at $19 per person, but the food is amazing. There's an Omelette station, and smoked salmon, shrimp, bacon, eggs, roast beef, salad bar, and pastry bar. So yup.... It was the best weekend ever! And bunny really was the best this weekend. He put up with my tantrums when I thought we were going to be late, and he came up to waterloo with me and took the bus home... I'm so lucky!!!! | | |
| Halloween Madness I love halloween... They tell me that once you're a teacher you'll hate it because the kids are all on a sugar high the next day... but until then.... I Halloween. I was dressed as a vixen this year... quite original, I know! Anyway, I thought I'd post some pictures of my trip to Niagara Falls... I know this happened eons ago, but I thought I'd do it anyway....
The view from my hotel room... I could get used to waking up to that
The bed was so soft someone didn't want to wake up Me and Bunny enjoying the sunshine. I miss sunshine....
$25 hamburger @ Niagara on the Lake.... but SOOO worth it...
