    Summer of Transformation

I have had the most brilliant idea ever! I am going to have this summer be nicknamed the "Summer of Transformation". I want to change my whole life. I want to be better physically, we already knew that. I want to also go through my house and throw out things we don't need anymore and organise and deep clean the whole place. I want to have a monitary transformation. I want to be able to save a s much money as possible so as to have a giant downpayment for a new house in three years. I want to have a better spiritual life. I want to go to church every Sunday and join a life group and attend it regularly as well. How cool would it be to go back to school in August and have people be in shock about my entire transformation? This is my goal and together with Jason's help I plan achieveing it this summer. Look out world here comes the new and improved Jessica Joy Marshall!

    Running is Good

Ok this was day 2 of our new running routine and it went pretty well. Atleast it was better than last time. I was still breathing pretty hard but it felt good to be running. Dare I say it? I think I am starting to like running. Holy Cow! i never thought I would ever say such a thing!

With Jason and myself making a bi-weekly menu and sticking to it, my eating habits have changed pretty dramatically as well. I am thinking that if we stick to this, I will be droppinng the pounds pretty quickly. I joined a new challenge today. I believe the full title is HOT and SEXY by Memorial Day. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by Memorial Day. It is something that is totally do-able. I am also excited to keep this lifestyle up through out the summer. Just think I could be a whole new person when school starts next year. My colleagues might not even recognize me!

    A good day...

Today was a good day. It was beautiful outside and we took full advantage of it.

Today was the last day of review for my kiddos before the big CRT tests. We will be testing the rest of this week and then next week will have the ITBS tests. The kids are so tired and to tell you the truth, so am I. I never thought I could ever look forward to summer more than I did when I was in school. Who could have known my teachers were waiting for it more than I was! :)

Today we moved on to the next stage of our couch to 5k plan. This week we will be running for 90 seconds, walking for 90 seconds, running for 3 minutes, walking for 3 minutes then repeating the whole thing over again. we took a week off of exercise and boy could I tell! My lungs were hurting but it was a good hurt. It felt good to be back out and training again. I can not wait for our next race. We got to take the dogs with us today and they love it. Maybe Willie can lose some weight with his mommy.

My goal is to be sharing clothes with my little sister Jennifer by this time next year. We are going to New York for her 21st birthday and I think it is completly doable to get down to goal by then. I also have a new financial goal. Jason and I are going to be planning our menus for 2 weeks and making a grocerey list based on this menu. Hopefully not only will this help with our weight loss but also financially. We want to start saving money so we can have a substantial downpayment on a house 1 year after Jason graduates. We can do it. I have come to the conclusion that we can do absolutely anything we put our minds to. God has always provided for us and we are very thankful for that.

Today was a beautiful, yet chilly day. We went all the way to Hominy, Oklahoma to celebrate Easter with Jason'w mom, and two brothers. Our nephews were so cute. They are finally old enough to want to gunt the eggs! We brought a few and stuffed them with chocolate. They were so excited to see all the eggs hidden outside.

A new episode of "I Can Make You Thin" come on tonight. I think he will be talking about how to curb your cravings. This will be an episode I really need to see. We did well at lunch today until they brought out the Easter cupcakes. I had to have one. I also had half a slice of pumpkin roll. It was delicious. I did well with putting my fork down and listening to my stomache. I hope I lose weight this week. Weigh in is on Wednesday so I guess we will see.

    Today my legs were concrete!

Today was not the best of days for working out. Jason and I were going to go run at Hafer park and found out it was the city wide Easter egg hunt. Needless to say we found a different park to go run in for today. We decided Mitch park would work. It is not a very pretty place. This week we are on week to of the couch to 5k program. You are supposed to warm up for 5 min. and alternate 90 sec of running with 2 min of walking. I am telling you one thing...SHIN SPLINTS SUCK! I thought my right leg was going to cramp off. I am so wanting to become a great runner. Why does my body have to rebel? Oh well, I will do the best I can and just hope my body catches up eventually.

Tomorrow we are headed to the big town of Hominy, Oklahoma to celebrate Easter with Jason's family. I am so excited to get some really cute pics of our nephews. There is a "quickie challenge" on www.Just4Keeps.com where you can earn 10 points for every Easter layout you get done for the next week. Well I don't have any pics yet, so this will be my only opportunity.

This weekend is the long awaited Crop Around the Clock! I can't wait to have a full weekend of scrapping with girls. I am ecstatic! Well, I guess I am starting to ramble now. Leave a comment on my first blog!!!!
