| New home in Tokyo It’s been 4 months since I left Hong Kong in mid-June, after spending 2 months in Singapore training before moving to Japan in August. I do like living in both cities, especially Tokyo, I guess I am really amazed by the new things and new technology here. But I miss my friends a lot and sometimes I just wish I can go back to work in cities where most of my friends are. Anyway, some people are curious how it is like living in Japan besides from what they see on magazines and TV. Guess those “lost in translations” moments are within my expectations, and getting “lost” is actually part of the fun exploring this new country. Despite of that, advanced technology, good food, clean streets, polite people, allow me to continue liking this foreign place…. Another short note on my neighborhood which I found it quite exciting – Shibuya. If you ever see that big crossing scene of Tokyo on TV, that’s the area that I am living right now. I like it to be so busy and stores are still opened when I get out of office at 10 pm, and how quiet and clean when it is 7 am in the morning. That actually made my stay in Japan more vivid and lively after work. Hope that will have more time to travel around. |
