Update: Reviewing my progress towards resolutions

1. Consistent walk with God and hopefully learn more about myself along the way

Started keeping a journal where I write down my thoughts, weekly highlights, and stuff God is probably trying to tell me

2. Dunk the friggin basketball

I don't know about dunking yet but at least my ankle is healing and I can play basketball about 70% so maybe I'm being optimistic when I say that I'm getting there lol

3. Learn to cook better (specifically work on my fish dishes, appetizers, and desert making skills)

Wow fail, I learned how to cook talapia better and I also make this spicy rice cake thing thats pretty good, but this semester has been so busy I can barely even make rice

4. Run at least 5 miles a week

Fail again, my ankle should be good enough to run that many miles by end of February. Gonna check back on this goal...

5. Bench 4 reps at 200lbs

Four reps at 185 baby...ohhh baby

6. Play more ping pong

Played twice in the last two weeks. Compared to last semester thats MORE

7. Be more organized, prioritize my time better

Fail fail fail, I need to get more organized before I forget all my test/project deadlines

8. Meet more people

Success, I think I may have met a little too many people. Maybe not b/c meeting people has been cool but it sure does take more time outta the week

9. More leisure time for reading

Big failure lol, enuff said

10. Make all A's

At this rate, fail too

11. Find another internship

I need to start looking...check back on this one at end of February

12. Keep up with my Salsa dancing

Ohh baby am I salsaing and it's fun. I also started ballroom class so we will see how that goes

Weeeell, 5 outta 12 resolutions are on their way to sucess and the others....they need work lol. Gotta kick myself in the butt and get things in line!

current mood: , ,, and once again

Happy New Years everyone!

I think I will make this year a very productive year. I hope to look back next December and have a solid list of goals that I have either failed or succeeded in accomplishing.

Now that I think about it...I don't think I've ever made a serious list of new years resolutions before sooo.....here goes!

1. Consistent walk with God and hopefully learn more about myself along the way

5. Bench 4 reps at 200lbs
6. Play more ping pong
7. Be more organized, prioritize my time better
8. Meet more people
9. More leisure time for reading
10. Make all A's

This break has gone by so incredibly fast so far!
What have I done you ask?
-Eat lots of potluck food
-Watched:
    The Island
    My Date With Drew
    Cinderella Man
    Legend of Zorro
    Christmas NBA double header
-Played basketball 3 different days
Sprained my right ankle for the very first time on the 3rd day
-Ate at Osaka!
-Played Jenga
-Bought a Magic Bullet
-Re-Learned Texas Holdem and lots all my chips lol

Maybe I'll finish it off with a few last eventful activities before I go back to the big H...

It's Amazing
With the blink of an eye you finally see the light
It's Amazing
When the moment arrives that you know you'll be alright
It's Amazing
And I'm sayin' a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight

That one last shot's a Permanent Vacation
And how high can you fly with broken wings?
Life's a journey not a destination
And I just can't tell just what tomorrow brings

Colossians 3

"since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above...as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience...forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another...and whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him"
