I am still here and am terrible at getting around to update. If you want to know more about what's going on, you can join my newsletter. Between Teigen and the girls taking my computer time, I just can't keep up! It's terrible, I know!

Just a quick update though. Yep, we are still happily breastfeeding!! I am so glad we made it through that first several weeks of toe-curling pain. Teigen will be 7 months old on Jan 6.. my how time flies! He is sitting up already and getting his first tooth right now. It's just about ready to break through the gum. He's not been too bad, but not too happy about it either. Only seems to bug him when it's nap time. Thankfully the only way we are mobile yet, is the walker, which he loves. We just started doing more floor time. With the dogs (4 of them) and us, I can't keep our floor clean, so I hate putting him on it much (plus the wood is unfinished, so even when I sweep and mop and mop and sweep, it's STILL dirty.. pita!) I am not ready for crawling yet.. so let's hold that off a bit longer.. pleeeasssse! We are also still co-sleeping. I just can't imagine doing anything besides this. It can be crowded sometimes, but we love it. Two of the dogs sleep with us, plus a cat periodically, lol. I am hoping to start ttc again around this time next year.. and we'll co-sleep with another too.

5 Months - Milestones

Weighing 20# and 28" tall, we are cruising right along in babydom.. I see him growing and changing almost daily.
I am SO happy that we are co-sleeping. I just cannot imagine it being any other way. He is such a joy..
We did start on some solid foods.. applesauce is a favorite.. pears are ok.

On Friday the 19th, Teigen rolled over *3* times from back to front. He doesnt' like his tummy much, so he gets mad pretty quick. But, he's learning! I can't get over how much he has grown! We went shopping yesterday to get him a few new pairs of pants..
The other day was too funny.. he had napped in his swing and when he woke up, Bean (the whippet) was in front of him.. chasing a fly. She'd look at him, then at the fly and Teigen would laugh! It was so funny.

Well, Fall is here.. almost Halloween... Geez... time just flies by, doesn't it?

Losing our daughter at 36 weeks during our pregnancy, was one of the hardest things I had ever been through. It was something that only happens to 'other people'. But, not that time.. that time we were the 'other people'...

If you'd like to read about our daughter, Jordan Riley, please visit her here. She was born the day before Mother's Day, on May 13, 2000... But died almost a week before that.. just over a week from my birthday. If you are't up for more than a few tears.. don't go.. just keep us (and all parents who have had losses) in your thoughts today.

4 Months - weighs 18 ½ pounds 27 inches... growing like a weed. Brought Cassy and Emily's walker home from my mom's house yesterday.. he loves it.

Teigen has started a new thing... a few weeks ago, he was so tired, but nothing I did (that was normal) would get him to calm down and sleep.. he just kept crying and fussing and getting mad. Finally, since it was already 8, I decided I'd just get in bed with him. As soon as I layed him down, he settled, I fed him while cuddling and off to sleep he went.

Since then, he's done it a few more times.. Now, he's doing it during the day too. If he's tired, he wants to lay down. He doesn't want to swing, he doesnt' want me to rock him.. he wants to lay down. So, he's been napping on the couch. I lay with him, and feed him until he falls off to sleep and he naps there for a bit. It's kind of nice.

The other new thing.. and I'm a little afraid to say much, afraid I'll jinx it.. is that the past two nights he has only woke up twice. We go to bed about 9, he falls to sleep around 10 (we lay there and talk and cuddle and eat ) and he's woke up around 2 and then again around 5. That may seem like a lot to some, but since he usually wakes up several times a night (not that I pay to much attention, as I just feed him and barely wake up) it's kind of nice.. I'll be glad if this stays a routine... though the past two nights I've gotten so FULL!

Bob weighed him the other night.. He's weighing close to 16lbs. Growing so big. We went to a LLL meeting the other night. There were some little babies there.. 3 weeks, 5 weeks, 6 weeks.. and I realized how big he's getting. ::sniffle::

Teigen has *graduated* from the infant seat to the regular car seat. I think he's reached (past) the 26" height recommendation... He almost weighs 16lbs too. He laughs, and talks and blows spit bubbles (then sucks them back in -gross-). He loves to hang out in his high chair, naps in his swing and loves to cuddle in bed at night (I'm SOOOO glad we co-sleep and would never do it any different than this!) We brought home an exersaucer and a bouncy swing that goes in the door way. He likes both, but is still a little small for them... He adores his big sisters (Cassy changed a diaper for the first time last week!).

Oh... they grow so fast. He's *only* 3 months, but yet, he's *already* 3 months!!

(note: I'm not ignoring writing about what happened on 9-11, but have written about it here. I do hope everyone's friends and family are safe.)

Sorting through pictures the other night, I came across a pack of photos from my pregnancy with Jordan. Pictures from my birthday, which was only a little more than a week before she died. We were so excited, so ready and anxious. Pictures from Emily's birthday, only a little more than a week after her birth... so sad, but trying to be happy. And pictures of Jordan.. her pretty little lips, the peaceful look of her face... she led Teigen to us, gave us a new life to help heal our hearts.. our beautiful little angel..

Took a bath with Teigen a couple nights ago and realized just how much he's grown. He's gone from infant to baby. ::sniffle:: I'm excited for him to do each new thing, but I get sad to see him growing too.

Pulled out his high chair the other night too. He *sat* at the table with us while we ate. It was nice to have hands free to eat. Usually I am scarfing down my food while someone else holds him. This worked out great! It reclines really well.

Teigen was conceived on the night my friend gave birth to her little boy. He'll be one in another week and a half. Tomorrow is Teigen's 3 month birthday. Wow...
