Oh dear, what a fright. Herb had to go to the hospital to have some things checked on and they thought it might be cancer. Thank the stars they were wrong! I just don't know what I'd do without you Herb. Aside from the worry, I did get to spend a lot of time with Herb at the hospital without that busy-body Bertha coming around and trying to flirt with him. I got to watch Herb working on my special doll, he is just so talented and the thing turned out so pretty. I did some knitting and worked on some crossword puzzles too. Herb asked me to sneak up some of my homemade waffles that he loves so I did but just once. Its so nice to have a man who loves me just for who I am. I used to be a cute little lass back in my day and now I know I'm old but Herb loves me no matter what.

Love, June.

Hi Herbie,

Well you finally convinced me to get this site, but then I never could resist you now could I? I just read your site, you silly man, you said you were making a surprise for me but then gave away what it was later on in your letter! You're so sweet to think of me and make me a special doll all of my own, and you know how I love Dolly. You're so talented with your doll work, I just can't wait to see it, and don't feel a bit bad about giving away the surprise because I'll love it just the same.

Bertha and I spent the afternoon knitting. She thinks she's so much better than I am at knitting and sometimes tells me so but I am patient with her. One of these days I may run out of patience and give her a piece of my mind but I'll keep trying. Bertha says there's a nice sale at Joann Fabrics coming up and I can't wait to get some new knitting needles and supplies. Maybe I should make my Herbie a surprise too.

My chin is still a mite sore from where they removed that big mole but it's healing up sure as the sun rises every morning. Now Bertha can't make fun of me for the hairs growing out of it anymore. You were so sweet to always tell me how cute it was but I just couldn't live with it anymore.

See you soon Herbie,

Junebug
