Wow. It has been since last April that I last entered anything on this site. Having 5 children has it's way of keeping one busy, I guess.

I've been listening and reading quite a bit latley about the war in Iraq and what the U.S. should do. I have not been the greatest fan of George W. Bush and I opposed the entry in to Iraq for Constitutional and strategic reasons. Having said that, once we invaded, my mouth shut. The only option the U.S. has had since the start of the invasion is victory. I pray that the President's current plan is a success. I pray for the protection of our troops and that God will thwart the plans of the terrorist and all who seek to disrupt peace.

I'm angered, but not shocked by the Democratic party's response. They are an opportunist party and love to play off emotions. They talk a lot about change in how we are conducting the war, but offer no alternative other than defeat.

Political test

ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,

The political description that
fits you best is...

.

CONSERVATIVE

CONSERVATIVES tend to favor economic freedom, but frequently

support laws to restrict personal behavior that violates "traditional
values." They oppose excessive government control of business,

while endorsing government action to defend morality and the

traditional family structure. Conservatives usually support a strong

military, oppose bureaucracy and high taxes, favor a free-market

economy, and endorse strong law enforcement.

The RED DOT on the Chart shows where you fit on the political map.

An Opportunity to Share to Gospel

This week at work, I found myself in a co-worker's office discussing music, genetics, and then.... Jesus Christ. It was very odd. I had no intention of talking about the gospel 30 minutes before work was out, but that's what happened.

This collegue is known by all to be an unbeliver. He is very hostile to Christianity. I've known him to have very odd beliefs. He's a deist who combines some eastern thought. He's currently reading the Koran to "be enlightened". He tells me that he's reading the Islamic scripture for the same reason he reads things about Buddism, Hinduism, etc, : to open his mind to all thoughts. When I asked when he last picked up the Christian Bible to help with his "enlightnment", he admitted that he rejected Christianity at age 13 and doesn't plan to consider it again.

I told him that I would put the Bible up against any other religous literature that he reads. That the manuscript evidence, the archeological record, the prophetic evidence, and the circumstancial evidence all point to the Bible being the very word of God. He waved me off as being silly.

Eventually, a friend of mine--fellow Christian who is also an associate pastor at a local church, entered the office and the conversation. This man held nothing back. At one point he told the unbeliver that he'd be a fool for not at least considering the case for Christianity. If we are wrong, well, we all die and become food for worms. But, if we are right, then our co-worker will have hell to pay.

To appreciate the intensity of the moment, consider this: my pastor friend works for this guy. He basically told his boss that he's going to hell! Now, I'm also outranked by our unbeliving co-worker, but I work in a different area and do not report to him.

At the mention of hell, I could see his (the unbeliver) hands start to shake slightly and also noticed that he stopped making eye contact. It was a very sad moment. He continued to reject the gospel and eventually business/office work ended our conversation.

I pray that God will be merciful upon his hard heart.

 BOYCOTT GARY BUSEY

Regardless of what you think about the war in Iraq, this story ought to anger you. I'm really sick of Hollywood types and their anti-American  blame-America-for-the-problems-of-the-world propaganda. Gary Busey and Billy Zane are in a Turkish movie that portrays American troops as no good murdering scum. Busey plays a Jewish doctor who takes Iraqi prisoners and removes their vital organs and sends them to rich folks back in the U.S. and Britan.  Where's the Anti-defamation league?
