Well I have now heard from Peggy herself, and she said that she is definitely going to have the by-pass surgery, week after next.

She asked that we double up on our prayers for her.  Her doctor told her that if she didn't have the heart surgery first that she might just flat line during the other one.  So it is a plenty serious thing...a tripple by-pass.

Thank all of you,

Just the Bride

Hi there everybody...I just had un up-date from Mels "hunk-a-husband"...and he said that my dear sister Peggy had gone through her procedure very well, and is now resting comfortably as they await another doctor's opinion...however he (Peggy's Cardiologist) saw enough blockage to definitely need the heart by-pass.  So we'll just wait to hear from either Melanie or Dale again to see where this goes from here.  I'm sure this news comes as quite a disappointment to Peggy as well as the rest of us who love her so. But we know it's in God's hands and we want what is best for her.  But please keep your prayers and good wishes going out for her.  Thank you all for your concern.

Hi there...I'm a happy camper!!  After having visited my brother and my sister Peggy (Mels Mama), I am very encouraged for each of them.

First I'll start with Peggy...she is the most cheerful optimistic person you could ever want to meet... makes everybody feel good just being around her.  Well anyway I found her doing much better than I had anticipated...anyone else may have been "rendered helpless", being she's on a walker now and not suppose to put any weight on that bad leg.  But with her self reliant and cheery attitude, she does as much for herself as possible, which is a good bit.

Her Cardiologist had her come into his office for a stress test this past Monday...and he's hopeful that they may not necessarily have to do the bi-pass.  He's studying her results this week and she goes back next Monday for the answer.  She's attributing alot of this possibility to you Xanga people who have sent hugs and prayers in her regard

.

If she doesn't have to have the heart surgery, then they can go ahead and get to the hip replacement right away, not having to wait 3-4 months for the other to heal.  Altho she's definitely not looking forward to any surgery...she does look forward to being able to get around well again.  So please keep those prayers and hugs coming.

And my brother who'd had a stroke, is doing so well I could hardly believe it.  If all continues to go well, he will be released from the re-hab hospital this Saturday, and will be going to his daughter's home to stay there until he's able to do everything for himself.

He is able to walk (altho his legs are still weak) and his mind is very clear, and he just has all his falculties about him...so we're very encouraged . He's usually a depressed sort of guy and quite the "grouch"...but they have him on some "nice pills" at this time and he's just been amazed to see how much better people respond to him being nice.

Thanks again for all your good wishes.  I will keep you informed as to their progress.

Well I guess it's about time I get started with packing a few clothes for my little trip this weekend.  I already have two bags packed...but they're full of fine china.  You see, all my sisters and I have this hangup for "dishes".  And we have in the Dallas area, a wonderful Fitz and Floyd warehouse store.  Well they had a great sale last month and two of the three of them (sisters) had me to pick up a few of the "irresistibles"....so as you might imagine that was my priority in packing

What is so ridiculous in my buying so many sets of dishes is that I neither cook nor entertain.....well almost never.  But I do enjoy setting a pretty table.  So I keep my dining room table set most all the time...changing it out ever so often....and displaying dishes throughout the house...and on bedtrays etc.  I call this "playing house"...now when "just Bob" speaks of "playing house" I get the feeling that he's talking about something entirely different, but I wouldn't have the slightest idea what he may have in mind.

Well y'all have a wonderful day...you hear now?  Fun talking with you.

Well thank you Xanga World for all your support...I just loved all the attention...come on in!
