Such a neat tribute to the Mothers and families in your life. Just thought of something though---do you two have a picture of Mike with all his family? I know he's from a large family. Just wondered. One of the pictures I prize is of my dad's family---eight children total, all in a row by age. They look like stair steps. And I just saw your deployment countdown. It's going by quicker than I realized.

@lindaintennessee - It was a good day... I loved what our deacon board did this year. While there was special recognition given to the moms, little plants were given to all of the women present (18 & up). Since there are many single women, and and some who have never been moms, and so never get recognized, this was really nice! So many lovely ladies without kids of their own, minister to others' kids continually. That being said, I hope that you had a wonderful day, too. You are a blessing to me, to your nieces (do you have nephews?), and to many more. :love:

@SingingMom - Great Mom's Day... and you? Glad you liked the pix. Ruthie is doing well. She spent the weekend with her son Stephen (who was injured in Iraq) - in D.C., & had a tremendous time!

@M3mine - Thanks, Betsy. Mother really appreciated it, too. I am going to print off a copy to send to Mike's mom. We tried to visit her on Sunday, but she didn't feel like having any more come over. With our busy & full schedules (& I've been feeling kinda' punk Mon. & Tues.), we probably won't see her now until Sat.

I have yet to see pictures of Mike's family (after all of these years). I hope to get over to see (& perhaps borrow so that I can scan/copy) some pix this summer. I did see one once (early on) of Mike when he was a little boy, but just once.

I'm so glad that the deployment is counting down!! :heartbeat:

@JusticeMom - For the most part, I spent it cleaning house and taking care of a surgery patient :wink:

Tonight, Holly's mom (Holly is my nephew's wife) brought us dinner. It was wonderful, and I was so glad I did not have to cook. I haven't been doing much cooking since the surgery, except for fixing Beth bacon and scrambled eggs.
