| | A blank statement.Just a brief update (it's been forever, but I felt like saying something--one of those spontaneous moments I suppose). Nothing big. I've been enjoying Illustration & Japanese classes most of all this semester, as well as learning more about color in painting. It's also cool to learn more about typography (the study of letter forms) in graphic design. Tomorrow will be the first New York trip with the Visual Communications program here with UD. Outside of class I've been enjoying the small group bible discussion that my co-leader Amy and I are doing. So far we've had pizza, played catchphrase, mafia, the family game, and telephone pictionary... oh yeah, and we're studying 1 Corinthians which has been really cool. We had a great discussion on the present day church, what's wrong with it, what's really important about it, and what's merely tradition. There are around 8 to 10 people in the group, and they're all really cool. One even has an aunt or something who plays in Malcom in the Middle... not that I really watch television much, but hey, it's cool anyway.
Tonight I watched The Secret Window with Johnny Depp and music by Philip Glass (an all-time favorite of mine, since a few years ago). My friend David and I have been watching alot of Depp movies lately, including Sleepy Hollow, directed by Tim Burton (my personal favorite, yeah, maker of Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare). In the Secret Window I noticed a scene where Mort's (Depp) ex-wife walks up his stairs and the camera angle and sequence of shots is too similar to not be referencing Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, the aerial view, then the view behind the character walking up the stairs. That one goes out to my brother Jeremy.
Well, who knows how long this page will be blank until the next time I post.
