| Hi Everyone!!!!
Man, I had to update because I wanted to share with you all what an amazing small group I had today! :) EKG! EKG!....pump pump, pump it up!
We studied John 13: 1-17. "Jesus Washes His Disciples' Feet"
Here's a question for you all...
"What would you do to show others the full extent of your love for them before your life ended in this world?"
-Check out John 13: 1 (it talks about how Jesus was now going to show His disciples the FULL EXTENT of His love before His time in the world was nearing to an end.
A section of the passage I felt God was pressing on my heart tonight was verse 12. This is where Jesus had finished washing the disciples' feet and asked them, "Do you understand what I have done for you?"
-Though this may seem so simple to most, the Holy Spirit was challenging me to fully grip this question. God reminded me so clearly of how I constantly needed to be cleansed and renewed each morning.
-Tonight marks the day God really put together the purpose of my desert in "Joyce's term". I finally understand! It took me so long to understand. And, you know what? IT'S SOOO WORTH IT! :) I am so thankful for the past year that I've struggled and felt so dry. Because I now know in my HEART, not just in my head, that it has drawn me closer to the Lord. I am sooooo excited for what God has instore and how my relationship with Him will grow and strengthen.
For anyone that feels like their "high emotions" in their spiritual lives have taken a drop or if you feel you are trudging through a desert, maybe God is really asking you if you are in this relationship with Him for the "blessings", "good emotions" or if it's because you've made a commitment with the Almighty One. I challenge you to continue to pursue the relationship you have with the Lord even when you feel you're not "feeling" the spritiual highs, because this relationship we have with the Lord is more than that.
I've realized that my relationship with the Lord has been so awesome in the past because of ALL the wonderful blessings He has poured upon me. When those were put on a hold, it was sooo hard for me to continue to worship Him the same way. I want my relationship to be more than that. A convenant is what I've made with the Lord the first I accepted Christ. A lifelong convenant with the Lord! :)
It's amazing how God's timing prevails everytime and is JUST PERFECT!
I just wanted to share with you all. I know I don't usually do this, but if there was something I would do to show the full extent of my love to you, I would share with you how God has the BEST plan for you, even though it may not feel like it at the moment.
Please, if you have time, look over John 13: 1-17.
The greatest example anyone can show and be.

hahahhaa,...i thought it might have been my lil sister rach playing a prank on me. That's so her! And that screen name would suit her quite well! And I also noticed I kept on typing "haha" a lot. That's weird. Why do I do that so often? Do I even really laugh? haha,...oh great, there I go again! I'm laughing in my head.

| Tuesdays are sooo tiring. I'm so burnt out from today's classes! 9-8 PM. But I'm glad it's all over! Hope everyone's week is going well so far! I got to see Hyej today! Thanks for the random call Hyej! Come visit anytime with Young Eun!
AAIV Large Group this Thursday at 605 SCE @ 5:00 PM. There's a Beach outing afterwards! So any of you that want to go to the beach and meet new people, come and hangout with us! We'll be nice! ;)

I'm excited! Small group should be awesome as well! Selina and Alice,...it was great seeing you today for like 10 mins! Come again! You girls rock! Tim Jiang...you're staying in our group, you know it's the best! :) I think we're going to have a SOLID sg this year! Come and bring new faces! The more the merrier!
Just a side note,...
When you see some of the leaders from exec, please feel free to encourage them by reading or reciting passages from the Bible or just by giving them a pat on the back for their commitment in serving this chapter and for the greater community of UIC. Not that they necessarily deserve it, but we as committed members, or even as new faces, it's great to encourage each other and spur each other on! Amen?
So I hope God is blessing you all in many ways @ UIC, and I hope there are personal goals that you see God opening up for you this semester! Hope to run into more of you all this semester! Take care :)
