Trying to Beat the Clock
Lately it seems that time is my enemy in many aspects of my life. Whether it be that I just have too much going on and could use another day or two to get it all done, or if its just that the timing isn't right. Well, here are my thoughts on all that:
Not enough hours in the day: if it were possible to add more hours to the day, more than likely they wouldn't be productive hours, I would probably end up using them to sleep.
Timing just isn't right: when is the timing ever going to be right?? I mean, there is always going to be something looming in the future that is going to make the timing seem wrong. Sometimes you just have to take that risk to get what you want.
Time flies: it seems like we are always looking towards sometime in the future (like the weekend) and wishing away the present, but then when it comes time to make some big change in life, we want time to slow down.
So that is basically how my last several weeks have been, trying to beat the clock. I had several deadlines to meet for projects, some of which were met more stress-free than others.
Now with March 10th upon us, I have completed the worst 8-week class ever, cut my time spent in Calvin in half, turned in the majority of projects for the semester, and leave for Europe in exactly one week.
Eventually, time will become my friend once again and I will be able to quit trying to beat the clock.
