Ahoy
So today I went to watch the Tigers play at Comerica Park. The game was pretty good if you ignore the fact that they LOST their 3rd game in a row to the Texas Rangers. Would you believe it? Six runs in the second inning, and the bunch of perdedores still manage to lose, 7-6. I was none too pleased, especially since i was spending like 8 bucks for a hot dog and a Pepsi. I actually accused one of the vendors of robbery, to which he replied he had a family to feed. Apparently he feeds his family nothing but Beluga caviar and filet mignon every night.
The traffic in Detroit wasn't too bad, and I got some pretty cool pictures. Amazing architecture, and some wicked fountains. And they get my award for "Most Picturesque Homeless People" in the country. Or at least in Michigan. On a different note, the women need to stop taking fashion hints from '92 Arkansas. Whoa-ho slim pickins, my friends.
I went to the movies last night with Tyler, and we saw Accepted. The "feel good movie of the summer" as he would say. It definitely had it's moments, with a pretty good storyline. Oh, and that Monica chick? Fiiiiiine. No, seriously. Totally hottie.
Nothing really going on this week, apart from work and the like. So feel free to drop me a line, as the summer days are slippin away.

Well I thought I'd make a tradition of it.
This is Tyler updating for Parker while hes in Jackson, Michigan. Why
is he all the way down there, you ask? Well I'll tell you. He's at his
annual family reunion. Now if you'll remember correctly I went down to
that reunion a year ago and we had some wild times. Now hes having the
experience without me. Its ok though, I have to hold down the fort here
in good old GR while hes gone.
Leave him some comments or something...

| So... what has happened as of late?
Well too much for me and my short attention span to explain. Although, I have decidedly come to the conclusion... that the teen crime rate in the city of Grand Rapids... would be considerably decreased... if there was SOMETHING TO DO HERE. These kids aren't bad, there just bored. Hell, I feel like vandalizing things sometimes just because it's something to do.
So I'm looking for volunteers to come and accompany Tyler Bloem and I to Michigan's Adventure. Only one (1) person will be selected, so start sending in those applications. Include name, birthdate, height, weight, and tendency to vomit on rollercoasters from a scale of 1-10.
Started writing a lot of music lately. The creative juices are flowing from all the cookies I've been eating.
Well I'm off to listen to watch my Crossroads DVD. JT,ERIC CLAPTON, B.B. KING, JEFF BECK? ALL TOGETHER?! Heavenly, euphoric, elysian.
| Update. Woot
So here's a run through of my busy life, which isnt really busy anymore. But more on that later.
So Summerstock is over. It was a great showing of Beauty & The Beast, if i do say so myself. We had some amazingly talented people in the leads. Marcus and Mary, especially. Really spectacular stuff. Stage crew was wicked fun, and a great bonding experience for Jenny Kellogg and I. Uh uh uh UGH! SR 4 LIFE. Estuve divertidisimo. But it will weird waking up Monday morning and not going to the FAC to see all those people. Le strange. I hope the last two shows went well, as I was in Detroit and unable to attend.
I was in Detroit because I was at the frickin COUNTING CROWS & GOO GOO DOLLS CONCERT. Way awesome. Words cannot describe the awesomeness. On a scale of abyssmal to i-almost-had-a-heart-attack-from-the-excitement awesome, it was deliciously cool. Lots of fun. I went with mi amiga, Madeleine. Good times. Adam Duritz has one of the greatest voices ever. I want to be him... minus the dreadlocks and the not showering in weeks. ALTHOUGH, Counting Crows did NOT play "Mr. Jones", much to the entire crowd's dismay. I think my drunken Canadian friend I made at the concert put it best,
"This is BULLSHIT, man! I mean, this is like going to see the Stones and then they don't play "Satisfaction"! WHAT GIVES?!"
Good times. They did, however, play "Round Here" and dragged it out for a very surreal, very passionate 16 minute performance.
In other news, my main homeslice Tyler Bloem is celebrating his 16th birthday today. Everyone wish him well, cuz I mean, come on. It's a big deal. So I wrote him this little letter of congratulation
"Tyler, glad we've been buds all these years. Through thick and thin, you've been there, man. Chasing girls, chasing dogs, chasing money, getting chased by the police. We've seen it all, man. Have a great birthday. Still not paying for your gas,
Parker."
Well I'm out to go find something to do. Seeing as I'm basically free from here on to the beginning of school, feel free to drop me a line. We'll go do... something.
Peace (No spanish sign off in regards to Tyler's birthday wish)
