Hello everyone,
I hope that you are all having a good friday. Today seems to be one of the favorite days of the week
I like it too i guess...
Well, looking back on this past week, it was kinda stressful, but I would have to say a really good week all-in-all.
Monday I had my weekly devotional with Mrs. VanOsdol. That went very well. We have a new book that we are starting, called How now shall we live? by Charles Colson. It is a more recent version of Francis Schaffer's How then shall we live. We haven't started it yet, but we're excited to. On monday I also went to the library in the afternoon and checked out some books. Anyone who knows me knows I read practically anything I can get my hands on, so I enjoyed myself a lot. I spent monday night studying for my Politics test on tuesday morning at 8. On that night we had a bit of snow although i was disappointed we didn't get more. But anyway, we had enough so that the roads were slippery and a little dangerous.
On tuesday, my friend Andres who drives me to school slept in and didn't wake up for his alarm, and on top of that traffic was very slow. I ended up being half an hour late for my test. Fortunately my teacher gave us the whole class to take our test and I think I did well. I also had Speech Class that day at 11. That is my favorite class because we do a lot of debating in there
As you all know, I like debating. We just finished our first two speeches; my professor likes my speaking style and so far, I am doing well. That class ended at 2 and I worked on homework and spent some time reading until my macroeconomics class at 5:30. I like that class, but it's the wrong class to have at night! lol He talks on and on and half way thru the whole class is sleeping. So he has found a way to keep us awake. In the middle of class he has us all get up and do an activity partaining to economics, like writing on the board or pretending we own a business. He does not believe in tests, so each week he askes us questions and those count as our grade. I tell you, that is much harder than any test! You always have to be alert in class then and i hate that! lol
Wednesday I went down to CPA to spend a day and help Bunni teach the home surival class how to knit. I had a good time and hope I can go down there again. I spent a lot of time with the senior class. It was great to see all of my friends again and I am excited to see the school growing both in size and spirituality. That night I also had my study with Mr. Melvin. That went well, too although I was really tired!
Thursday was fine. I had my Politics class from 8-9:30 and then spent the rest of the day at my beloved downtown library. REbecca has classes until 3:30, so I stay til then. Any of you who have not been to the downtown library need to go immediately! It is one of my all time favorite places. I love it! I spent a lot of time studying for my terrifying Biology test that was at 8 today. I was rather stressed out about it because we missed a week and therefore a whole chapter. The test was 7 chapters long and very detailed. I was up rather late studying. I fell asleep on my laptop around midnight, and woke up at two very mad at myself for falling asleep. I was rather grumpy let me tell you. I think I got like 3 hours of sleep!
Today I woke up at 6:30 and worked on it some more. I had class at 8. Fortunatly our professor spent awhile going over some of the material. The test was hard and I thought that I had done very poorly on it. I was not happy with it. I checked my grade a little while ago and found that I got a B. I wish i could have done better but i was very satisfied with that grade. I have never taken a college level science class before and was a bit wary of how it would be. Much to my horror I have found that i kinda like it! I love the labs. We always have a great time learning in there although my friend and lab partner, Aviance, and I usually don't have any clue what we're doing, but we have a a lot of fun. haha
I really like it though. after class we headed home and ate lunch. After lunch mom, Andres, and I took the kids down to the Children's Museum and that was a blast! We spent a lot of time running around and going crazy. We were all very tired when we got home, but we were happy. I have just spent the rest of this evening chillin' and getting ready for the weekend. I hope to see everyone in church tomorrow and can't wait 'til then!
Well, I will be amazed if any of you actually read this thru to the end! lol (I'm sorry, as you all know I love my smiley faces and lol's)
I am very tired and hope to get a lot of sleep tonight, although I'll probly be on facebook for awhile
haha, I shall get to bed on time tonight though! I hope that all of your weeks went well and I will talk to you soon.
cheers
