Mr. Robert E. Byle, aged 50, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord, Monday, December 4,

2006. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Byle, his father-in-law and mother-in-law,

Robert and Nancy Calkins. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, Debra; children, Jenni Byle, Robert

Byle-Levan, Andre Woodrom; mother, Betty Byle; brother, Michael Byle; sisters, Vicky (Rick)

Mieras, Sandy (Pat) Grady; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob (Denise) Calkins, Bill (Pat)

Calkins, Brian (Robin) Calkins; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Tom (Toni) Reynolds

and family, Katie, Kris and Anthony. Robert loved his time that he spent at his cabin up North

where he did some hunting and fishing, he also enjoyed traveling. If there was a boy's baseball

game, that's where you would find him. He cherished his special time spent with Michelle, Eric,

Charlie and Alex. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2006 at the

Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE with Pastor Joyce Gackler officiating. Inurnment

Blythfield Memory Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends Thursday from 6 to 8

p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the funeral service. A special thank you to Area Agency
