Psalm 104:12b

...the birds of the heavens have their home;
         They sing among the branches.

I crawled into bed last night at about 10:30 looking forward to a sweet nights rest, only to hear this:

Now it was somewhat of a nice sound....AT FIRST!!! But here it is now 45 minutes later....

And the saga song continues on still about an hour and a half later...

And all of this sound is coming from somewhere deep in the branches of the orange tree directly outside my bedroom window...

So I headed to bed at about 1:30 to try to fall asleep again, and I managed to fall asleep somewhere about 2:30a.m. however I woke up at 5:00 a.m. to hear the bird STILL singing away (and for that matter, it is now 8:00 a.m. and I believe he is still going now...I can hear that same song through all the noise of life waking up on my street)...what is so important in that birds life that he has to go on about ALL night and seemingly into the daylight hours as well???

@xThexGodfatherx - Mike yes indeed He is sooo good to have created all including noisy birds :birdie: ...that is why I posted the scripture at the begining of my post so that I would not forget that in spite of my lack of being able to sleep that it is one of Gods creations keeping me awake :grin: :grin: :grin:

Hi Kelly! I know it's been a little while since I've been by, and I hope you're doing well ... inspite of not having enough sleep! My cat absolutely loved these sound bites of that bird ... so did I! It's rare that birds sing in the dark, but I think it's a lesson for us that we can sing and have joy in the Lord, even through our 'dark' times ... those difficult times, and trials that we all go through in our lives! The joy of the Lord is our strength!! Hope you can get some sleep tonight, though!! Thank you for sharing this ... blessings on your Friday!

"Everything that has breath praise the Lord" Psalm 150:6 He is doing exactly what he was created for. This probably does not make less annoying when your are trying to sleep.

:big-smile:  Deborah told me about these little gems you have posted. My cat, Princess, was sleeping on her stand next to my computer table and when I put the first one on -- she woke up and got on the table and sat looking at the screen...then she got up and went right up to it and then finally was looking behind it wondering where this little bird was. I'm sure she would take care of her for you, but I keep her inside always -- I know she would be bringing me many undesirable gifts if I were to let her outside! :sleepy:  I hope you will get caught up on your sleep. Do you know what kind of bird it is?  ~Carolyn

:dancingcow:If you play all three at once, it is quite the symphony.  The birds out on the patio were singing back as I was playing yours.  We have woodpeckers in the mesquite trees over here.  They make alot of noise also.  Blessings, Kate
