| What has been going on in my life? Well let's see. I started taking Accutane a few weeks ago and so far it's okay. I mean, it sucks, but it isn't sucking as bad as it will in the next few weeks cause she's going to increase my dosage. The only bad side effect I have right now is horrible chapped lips. My lips started cracking and peeling today so that kind of sucks cause it's getting worse. My skin has been a little dry, but she told me it will get worse. Normal chap stick doesn't work, cause I have to put it on every 2 minutes (seriously); so I got Burt's Bees and I only have to put it on every 15 minutes, so it seems to be working better .
I'm not sure if you know much about Accutane, but it's pretty serious medicine; I mean, you literally have to go through an act of congress to get this medicine. The whole big deal about the medicine is that it has horrible effects and birth defects, so they want to make sure the patient is not pregnant, will become pregnant while taking the medicine or for a few months after the medicine is over. Babies can be born missing limbs, or limbs in the wrong place on the body (like an arm where an eye should be), or without a brain, or dead. So it's very important that you don't have kids. The packaging for this medicine is hilarious cause every inch of the box has a pregnant woman with a line drawn through her body, so Angelique and I think it's hilarious.
So I have a few big decisions that I need to make in the next 4-8 weeks and I need prayer about everything. I'm really considering full time Elevate and that is a huge step to take. Also, I have an opportunity to go on a mission trip to Italy in October (don't think that it's "easy" cause it's Italy b/c Europe is a very spiritually dark place). I need prayer for direction, finances, favor and my family.
Anywho, I'm excited cause I get to see my baby in 11 days!!!

| MY BABY IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!! Hayden Matthew Reynard was born March 6, 2007 around 8:20pm. I only have one picture of him and it's on my phone. I should be getting some in a few days. I'm sad cause they live in Austin and I won't be able to actually see and hold him until spring break I might be a little biased, but he's beautiful. I only have a picture on my phone and he's beautiful. I didn't think it was possible to miss someone I've never even met, but I really do miss him. I'm going to spoil him so much!!

| What is a Christian? And when people say they are Christians, what do they think that actually means? Those are questions that I've been contemplating for a few weeks now. Sometimes it's hard to separate between Christians and non-Christians. Along with this, I've been thinking about our nation and how it is basically no longer a Christian nation; just think about it, there are so many other false religions such as Buddhism, Kabblah, Scientology, Islam, etc that people are following that they no longer want anything to do with Christianity. It's sad to say, but people actually get offended by the name of Jesus. And I began to wonder why do so many people get offended by the name of Jesus or want absolutely nothing to do with the Christian church anymore. The one conclusion I came up with is the question that I started with---Christians. You see, one of the biggest causes of atheism is Christians who speak Jesus out of their mouths and walk away and deny Him by their lifestyles. So many people claiming to be Christians do not live the life they speak of. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but the "world" has an idea of what a Christian should be, how a Christian should look, how a Christian should act, what a Christian should wear, etc, etc, etc. And as soon as you say that you are a Christian, your life is put under a microscope by everyone around you. They are expecting you to be a certain way; and since they have this preconceived notion of what a Christian should be, they really want to see if you are going to behave just like them or actually live a different life. As soon as you do one tiny little thing "wrong" in front of them, they say, "Ah ha! I knew it wasn't real." You see, God called us to be in this world, but not of it (John 15:18-19). We are commissioned to go and evangelize and tell people about Jesus and reach out to the world and live a life that is pleasing to God. All part of being in the world but not of the world. So many Christians think they don't need to reach out to people or they act like the crazies in FSA and tell everyone they're going to hell and reach absolutely no one. And then you have the "Christians" who want to be a Christian on Sunday or in a theological debate but go out and do every single thin that the world does; as in, drinking, cursing, etc. Then, they try to justify everything they do---you know, it was only one drink, one word, one time, etc, etc, the list goes on forever. It's the whole thinking that the people in the world are evil (like the crazies in FSA do) or the whole not wanting to reach out those who don't know Christ (though someone reached out to us) or the whole justification of the things we do that make non-Christians not want anything to do with the Christian church and turn to other religions or look for fulfillment and happiness in places other than God. Our job is to be the church. The church is not a building, the church are the individual people who are Christ's ambassadors who reach out to others and show God's love. It's time to stop trying to define Christianity by "I don't do this or I don't do that" and start evangelizing living life that is set apart to where others look at you and say "I want what you have." I just hope that if you say you are a Christian that you actually try to live like you are cause as I've said before, the whole around you begins to put you under a microscope as soon as you say you are. They want you to be different from them, so acting exactly like them isn't going to do anything to build the Kingdom. I ask that you don't judge them or ostracize them cause that isn't going to do anything to build the Kingdom. Please understand the differences between believing in God and being a Christian, and going to church and being a Christian cause neither believing in God or going to church makes you a Christian my friend. I'm not saying I'm perfect and I have it all together cause I don't, but I know that with God, praying, studying, and the help of others that I can figure it out as I go along. I ask that you think before saying "I'm a Christian" if you do things that you probably shouldn't do and know you shouldn't do but do them anyways--just say you believe in God. If any of this makes any kind of sense to you, good. If you feel "offended," good cause you're probably more convicted than offended. Let's just remember we are in this to make Jesus famous; not ourselves, not our organization, etc. Making Jesus famous wouldn't be so difficult if Christians were actually Christians. Let's look for opportunities to share Jesus with others. This went on for way longer than I wanted it to and I left off a whole bunch of stuff.
