Language is a curious thing...  we use the same words to compliment people as we do to rip them to shreds.  We use the same language to bless and praise as we do to curse and irreverence.  Shouldn't we hold some things more precious?  Shouldn't we guard what we say?  I mean, after all, people can only be judged by others by a few things, and we are most often judged by the words we choose to use.  It just doesn't make sense...  We should all  take care that we choose wise words...  because then, peace will be in our actions.

Why am I writing tonight?  Do I have anything to say...?  Hm.

Not especially.

Something interesting, though... My bassoon professor broke something off of my bassoon in my lesson today.  He was taking it apart, and he broke this little tiny thing off... Not that it will change the way it plays.. But man!   I actually laughed about it later, because it's sooo so small...  I was trying to put it back on, and I walked into the double reed room with it in my hand after band that night...  And I watched it fly out of my fingers!  onto the carpet... Jeff and I spent about five minutes looking for it.  It was quite amusing, especially when I dropped it about three or four more times over the next hour or so.

Other than that... Life isnt' too much, or too little.  I can't wait to have Heidi over at my house, tho!  It's gonna be a lot of fun, I hope some of you homies back in the Round Zone get to meet her.

Ok, that's all.  Have a good night, all, hope all is well!

You ever have one of those moments when you know that the world isn't what you thought it was your whole life?  College has  been one of those moments for the past few months.  Lol, that's a really long moment!  But anyway, I've been thinking a lot about miracles and angels for the past couple of days (Thanks, Kristin!) and I've realized that every moment is a miracle.  Every breath we take, every fleeting glimpse of beauty, every moment of glory is proof that the Lord is God, and that we are more than we appear to be.    "Life is not measured
by the number of
breaths we take,
but by the number of
moments that take
our breath away."

Have you ever stopped to think for a moment about the perfection of every creation of God?  Even the tiniest, most fragile flower is made so beautiful and strong that it can survive a thunderous storm...  There is beauty everywhere!  I am so glad to be on this earth, to be alive in an age of beauty and knowledge and running water!  (lol, for all you camping peeps out there... no flushies!)  I just hope and pray that whatever my mission is in this life, I can find a way to fulfill it, to truly magnify God's glory through my hands.

Hurrah for Israel!!!

OH MY JOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I just got home from Peoria about ten minutes ago... from the Josh Groban concert!  Ah, the lights!  Ah, the colors!  Ah, the view of the pretty pretty boy!  Ah, the sound of the pretty voice!  Ah, the magic!

I must say, my personal favorite moment was when the lead violinist played her solo.  I can't remember her name.  Or the name of the opening part of her selection.  But right in the middle of a very sad, intense romantic piece, the girl jumped into the opening of Bohemian Rhapsody!  The piano kicked in, and she played the melody right through the first guitar solo!  Oooh man, it was aaaaaawesome!!

But it is exceedingly late...  I'm gonna go hug the glow-in-the-dark shirt my friend made me and remember the spectacle of Josh Groban... Live!  Much love, everyone!

Wow, it's been a long morning... It's barely 2 and I'm so sleepy!  But I have a perfectly logical reason why...  I went to one of the greatest concerts of my life last night.  The Wind Ensemble here at WIU played a very hefty concert, and I was moved to tears.  After the intermission, they played a piece called "Medieval Suite", and then "Whatsoever Things"... and by the end of "Whatsoever Things", I was gone on another planet!  So powerful!  Very interesting considering I came in late.  Oops!

Anyways... After the concert, I went over to Kim's place with Luke.  She's got the whole basement to herself, it's awesome!  We chatted for a bit, and then Patrick showed up.  While watching Animal Planet, Heidi came over, too.  It was good good times!  We put on one of the Pink Panther movies, and laughed until I thought I would explode.

Heidi and I left around 12:30, and I ended up going to the 4th floor and playing Super Smash Brothers Melee with Ian until 1:30 in the morning...  It was awesome!  I love that game!

And that was my night.  Not bad, all things considered!

Oh, and guess what, all you folks back home!!  Heidi is coming with me to visit over Spring Break!!!  March 12-20th ish... I'm thinking she'll just stay for the first half of the week, tho.  Anyway, I'm excited!

Hope all is happily ever after in neverland...  KT
