I have the worst luck in the world... well, maybe not, but it sure as hell feels like it. This week has just been so bad. Let's start with Tuesday, shall we? Tuesday: Morning- minor sore throat, nothing to worry about. Drank some warm water to help soothe it and ran outside to catch the bus. Lunch (4th): Don't really feel hungry because it hurts every time I swallow. 8th period: Suddenly shivering uncontrollably and feeling really hot and really cold at the same time. Feel a full force headache coming on. Went to locker to cover myself in as much clothing as possible. Afterschool: Went to Art Club because Kyna was there and I had to finish drawing my political cartoon for Government. Had a HUGE headache, began to think I had a fever, and found myself feeling nauseous whenever Kyna mentioned food. (Which she did a lot of just to torture me) At home: Kyna gave me a ride home (which I'm very grateful for b/c I think the bus would've made me feel worse) and laid down in bed as soon as possible. Get up refill Brita water thingy and get a cup, went back to lay down in Alison's warm comfy bed. Went to get water from nightstand and found that the cup was dirty. I groaned and went back to sleep. Dinner: Not hungry in the least, but I tried for Dad. Told him about headache, he gave me medicine, and I lost my fever and headache! Wednesday: Morning- Felt really hot even though it's below freezing in my house. Still had the sore throat but I could ignore it. Lunch: didn't eat much cuz it still hurt to swallow. PS. By this point I've taken dayquil so much I'm sure a junkie would be jealous. Thursday: Morning- Throat feels like hell Lunch: Throat feels like hell. After School: Raining like crazy. Mom's in China for a month so she can't drive me, and Dad's stuck in traffic. I find a painfully small umbrella, put a jacket on, and put my red Eckerd smock around my waist to keep my butt dry. Work: Throat feels like hell, bought cough drops and I'm completely dependent on cough drops, which eases my pain for as long as the damn thing lasts (which isn't very). I'm also completely wet, my pants are now pink, and if you really wanted to, you could probably use my shoes as a fish tank there's so much water in them. Went to bathroom and tried to dry my socks and shoes with the hand dryer. Which ends up being a waste of time, because later I go out with two of my co-workers to put out the recycling. At least now, I'm not the only one who's completely soaked. Dinner: Throat feels like hell. After Dinner: Told Dad. Made me warm water with honey and lemon, which hurt like a bitch to swallow. Then, we searched our very bare cabinets for something other than dayquil, which has gotten very low, and I end up swallowing two huge pain relievers instead. Ouch. Friday: Morning- Throat is ok. Looked into a mirror and found something akin to a cold sore on my lip. It was very small so I don't worry. School: I'm obsessively putting on chapstick and fervently hoping the damn thing would go away. After school: It's grown to humungus proportions. They look like little bubbly things growing on my now swollen lip. Later that night: I put salt on it hoping that by the next morning it will have shrunken. Saturday: Morning- I am losing my voice, but my throat is marginally better. However that thing one my lip is still there, the only change is that the rest of my lips are incredibly dry. I have to go to work from 9-2. ...I can tell this is going to be a great day! |
