| Mr Bartendaaaa.... So I'm feeling inspired to update my xanga. I've had quite a bit of stuff happen in the last six months or so. Started hanging out with old friends, started hanging with new friends, went to Bartending School, got married in Vegas, moved to Conway...And yes, ladies and gentlemen: I am now employed as well. I am starting at the Little Rock Airport bar this weekend as a bartender. woot. Don't know if I will make tons of money bartending there, but I should get some experience, which is a step in the right direction. The tradition of UFC PPV's Championship will still go down this weekend somewhere. Gary's supposedly getting a 46 inch LCD TV, so if he's cool with it, we might break it in this weekend with the PPV. I think I should be able to attend but if due to my schedule I can't I'll still print out the betting vouchers for the PPV. So start doing your homework on the fighters. I wish I had more to say or go into greater detail about the events that have occurred the last six months, but I'm too lazy. I guess I'm not blog material. | | |
| UFC 61 is a go at my house on the big screen this Saturday at 7:00. Olin, Jon, Sam, Garry: you guys are welcome up here for it.It's free. Jamie's gonna cook enchiladas or sumthin'. Jamie and I are doing fine, we haven't set a date yet because she is still shopping for areas she would like to be married. She changes her mind every ten seconds but one thing is consistent: it will be on a beach. My new Bulldog is a hass. At moments he is the most stubburn dog I have ever seen and I wanna throw em in the pool so I can watch swim like rock. But most of the time he looks just too damn cool to care. Well, I think the trade I am going to go for this summer is bartending. There is a school in Kansas City, MO. that provides schooling on mixing drinks, flare, etc. and provides a lifetime job placement plan in the U.S. I don't know if I'd ever use it, but knowing MORE about alcahol wouldn't harm my buddies at all, would it, Olin? :)
I'm out like Shamrock in the second round. later.
| Alright well this week was chalk-full of events. Last Friday Jamie and I headed to kansas MO to see Rockfest. It was awesome, but I wish we had waited to go a little later in the evening, as it was so hot under the sun and amongst 30,000 people that most of the early bands were hard to enjoy. I think the first band we actually got up and out of the shade to see was Shadow's Fall. They were having alot of technical problems, as would several other bands that followed, due to having to borrow equipment to play. Skipped Trapt, came back to see Candlebox play to 30,000 fans for an hour, which was just to awesome too describe. We skipped 3 days Grace to wait in line for an hour and a half to talk to Candlebox. Then afterwards we just sat it out for a few hours until Buckcherry took the stage. Being between Shindown and damned Staind buckcherry only got to play for 30 minutes. It was enoungh to piss us off but we enjoyed what we little we got outta Buckcherry. They are excellant at entertaining a crowd. After Buckcherry we went back to the room to freshen up and then head out to a cigar bar called The Bulldog. What happened next involved me dropping to one knee, a ring, and a Jamie. woot. Fast forward a few days and Jamie and I have our first pet together, a english Bulldog named Bruiser. Bruiser Brody to be exact. He's a hass. Well I supose that is it. Maybe not too thrilling in text but it's been a pretty exciting week. Take care everyone. | | |
| Alright, so here goes a new post. I got my tickets for Rockfest in Kansas City. The drive is a ways but the line-up is just too good to miss:
Staind Shinedown Three Days Grace CANDLEBOX Shadow's Fall Trapt Evans Blue BUCKCHERRY Hinder Hurt Black Stone Cherry Nonpoint Revelation Theory Federation of Horsepower Halestorm
I am really amped up about Candlebox. Hope everything goes according to plan. :) I haven't done much of anything since being back, and it's getting to me. Xanga sucks.
| Nickelback, can suck my back They're so crappy, their name is synonymous with crap. In fact, instead of saying crap, I'm just going to say Nickelback. I.E. "I have to take a Nickelback", "I just Nickelbacked my pants", or "I feel like Nickelback today." Yes, I do feel like Nickelback today.
